I may be in the very small minority of people that watched and enjoyed Season 1 of this show... genuinely, i've seen it twice now... its fun and silly. I totally, non-ironically enjoy the first season.
If you, too, enjoyed the first season... then this will be the most disappointing anime you will ever watch.
NOTHING about this anime is good. Not one thing, there is no redeeming quality to be had here. It is not just a departure from the first season, its a COMPLETELY different show with a completely different sense of humor, if it can even be called humor.
I can say, without any hyperbole,
...
that this is the worst anime season I have ever watched. EVER. I had watch hundreds of seasons of anime... thousands of episodes, and this it the biggest pile of you-know-what that I have ever had the misfortune to watch.
I do not review anime often, and typically only chime in when its something I looked forward to that let me down so hard I can't keep it bottled up. I enjoy bad anime, absolutely I do... I like the first season and that is proof enough... but this isn't bad, its unwatchable, unlikable, and unenjoyable.
The characters ALL completely change, not becoming MORE of what they were in season one... they completely change and also become entirely one-dimensional. Seiichii becomes unbearable, saria becomes a different person entirely, artoria is NOTHING like herself, lulune loses all of her charm, and even oliga becomes unlikable. Literally every character.... Barnabus, seichii's friends from his class, the new supporting characters, the new antagonist... ALL of them are some of the worst characters I have ever seen in an anime.
How did this get released? I will end it with this... I feel about this anime the same way I feel about every JoJo clip I have ever seen. Nobody should like this. It is awful, objectively and nobody should be proud of the product they produced. It does not deserve even a moment of your time. The first 5 seconds of the first episode is already too much time wasted.

Noumin Kanren no Skill bakka Agetetara Nazeka Tsuyku Natta....
I never give anime a 5 or below... it really is unusual for me to not like an anime and watch it past the first three episodes. This show's plot has potential, but the poor execution and total deviation from what you would expect or hope for ruins the soul of the show. I am willing to turn off my suspicions, doubts, disbeliefs, and even shut off my logical thinking when I watch an anime and I like some really terrible shows just as much as the all-time greats... but this show is just URGH. If they
...
had simply stuck to the title, I would have been all-in and loved this show, but instead of using the title of the show as a guide... they throw the title away almost immediately.
The farming skills portion of this show is maybe 10 minutes total across the series, and largely is just focused on the protagonist whining that he wants to farm but inevitably saving the day with a smile on his face. The farming is merely used as an oversimplified plot device that seeks to provide some motivation or reason for our protagonist to be encouraged to NOT farm and go do something else, except he spends almost no time in the series actually farming or showcasing his skills.
Our hero merely galivants around at the behest of others to solve problems throughout the nation, and there is very little tying all these plots together. It is merely a series of vignettes that involve our protagonist saving a damsel in distress, the damsel falling instantly in love, then having to sit on the sidelines while our hero pretends to focus on farming but consistently being drawn into another dastardly plot that requires the saving of a maiden.
I don't even know if I will watch the last episode... because I am just so tired of this whole show. There is no redeeming quality to be had here, there is no love interest to hope wins over the heart of our protagonist, the shoe-horned final story is so out-of-left-field that I don't know where to even begin. I liked the show until I thought about it at all, and by the time I got to episode 7 I just wanted it to be over.

I see that Danmachi (Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka) is getting a lot of harsh reviews from people, so I thought I would include my own thoughts. I loved this anime, a perfect little story that is very cute and funny.
Plot score: 7
A lot of people are talking about how this show is awful, but I think the story is actually pretty good. There is clearly a lot going on that isn't fully explained, but it is pretty nice to have that mystery. The story clearly goes deeper than any of the characters really know themselves, which is likely why
...
the viewer is also kept in the dark about certain things. It is basically set up like a video game-style story, and something about that is just fantastic really.
Art Score: 10!
I'm a big BIG fan of this art style, the monsters and characters are all really well done, the scenery and complex dungeon are done beautifully and I can't find a single fault with this art style, in my opinion.
Sound: 10
Just listen to it, really really listen to it and you will see that it is very well done.
Character: 10
The main characters and their relationships are very well explained and the development of each character's personality and connection with others is quite well done. Background and secondary characters even have a depth you don't get elsewhere. Some make the claim that the women in this story inexplicably fall in love with the main character, but once you really look at what the main character is and what he stands for you will see that he is charming in his own way.
Enjoyment: 10
The combination of so many amazing things, a unique story, amazing art, perfect sound effects, and great characters, is truly a recipe for enjoyment. I almost never review anime, but this anime is easily in my top 10. It is very memorable, yet you can still rewatch it and gain new insight into the plot, characters, or their relationships.
Overall: 9
The only reason I give this a 9, is because I put the "Story" at 7. It really doesn't deserve a 7, in my opinion, but I can see why many people wouldn't like this video game-esque style of story telling. Since there isn't really a second season yet, (hope it happens) we are missing quite an important part of this story, yet another reason why I've decided to reduce it down to 7. If you're a fan of game plots, you will likely love the story as much as I did. While there are large breasted women, I feel that simply adds to the story and the development of the main character's personality more than it detracts from the story in favor of fanservice.
I highly suggest you watch this movie if you're a fan of video games, action/romance, and underdog stories.
So, in short: 10/10 personally, 9/10 for most, and 1/10 for people who fail to read into the anime enough to fully understand and appreciate what has been done here.
Keep your ears perked for the ending, the reveal there is very understated and almost an aside, but it truly shows why the main character is what he is and is essential to understanding what is going on.

Here goes:
I've watched the first season straight through in one sitting, it was pretty good if you are into that sort-of thing. (Which I am, 10/10!) I was happy to see that this anime got a second season too! It was just more enjoyment to be had. God have mercy on my poor soul. I watched the first two episodes of the new season, without ruining TOO much of the plot here's what I've got for you:
Sasha is now pretending to be a girl (poorly) and sucking everyone's breasts which they seem to be fine with. Hana is now Sasha's maria, which is a
...
horrible match-up. If Hana was willing to go into this organization to be with Katja, why wouldn't Mafuyu? Why wouldn't they send Katja to this mission instead of Sasha? She IS a girl, and she has that *cuteness* to get all the girls to like her, as proven in season one.
Story: 1 (0 if I could) - the very plot is flawed, the execution is pathetic, it's even more ridiculous than most of the nonsensical parts of season 1.
Art: 5 - People say this is higher quality, they call it higher quality, It looks MUCH worse than the way Season 1 was done. I guess I'm just a sucker for the old way.
Sound: 8 - Not too many subbed anime have a "sound" problem of any kind, though it has been an issue on a few anime I'm sure.
Character 3 - Why 3? Sasha isn't Sasha if he can't be as blunt as he was in Season 1. Hana isn't Hana if she doesn't have Katja to give her a "roundness" that she had in Season 1 (A fully developed personality)
Enjoyment 1 - Pathetic is right. They saw some of the bright points of Season 1, and made this anime a string of breast sucking. Fine, we like how they suck breasts... tone it back a bit!
Overall 3 - I am forced into giving this a 3. It's only poor, not pathetic. Which is just because, while the art isn't as good as season 1, it's still not TERRIBLE. and the sound is of decent quality. That's 2 points higher than it would have gotten based on how I feel about it personally.
If you liked season 1, and you liked how the relationships developed, you enjoyed seeing Sasha put people back in their place... This anime is NOT for you. Stop at Season 1, I'll continue to watch this anime (probably just the ending) to see if Sasha returns to you-know-where (Don't want to spoil season 1!)
Oh yeah, I forgot something: While I'm still on this site to hopefully prevent you from wasting your life watching this:
Part of this story takes place in virtual reality! Yeah. Nuff said. *wipes hands together and shows you the palms* This is a HORRIBLE attempt at a second season. Avoid it like the plague! Shield your eyes! Or prepare to have your thoughts and feelings about the first season one bent over a chair right in front of you.
