Trigun Stampede is a sleeper hit from the last season that has been raising in popularity through word of mouth and overwhelming love from the fanbase. The show seemed unpromising at first, with many criticism pointed at the new character designs and the use of 3D CGI. It's genuinely a surprise how this show exceeded expectations and made Trigun into a big name in the anime community once more after 20+ years.

Reading Elfen Lied is like getting a mind rape. Even though there are interesting ideas and concepts in it, The story is so horribly executed and most characters will annoy the hell out of you. So many pointless deaths that feel cheap that I became numb with any major character death halfway through the manga. The protagonist is bland, and Lucy/Nyu could've been an interesting character if it weren't for her absolutely inconsistent character portrayal. After hearing a lot about this anime from random peeps on the internet, I was really looking forward to watching this. I mean, it's about Jesus and Buddha in modern day Japan, so what can go wrong?
Well sadly it didn't meet my expectations of a funny slice of life anime. Most of the jokes are forced by the over-exaggerated expressions and I can't help but cringe at several scenes for their divine awkwardness.
