I planned on reading a rather average yaoi manga to pass the time since I haven't read BL for quite a few days, but it seems that I found some of the good stuff from my digging. Destinies Cross was worth passing the time with, definitely.

The story, even though cliche, had some uniqueness into it. It wasn't predictable, quite random in fact, yet the randomness of each chapter fits the story quite unbelievably.

Story: Kazune an undiscovered talent comes inside a coffee shop to attend a concert of an infamous band named KEEL. It just so happens that there were two people inside conversing ... the other person seemingly asleep on the table, kazune asked the guy inside the counter if he knows the band KEEL and shocked to find out that he's one of the members himself. The band member asked if he could play the guitar and sing Kazune didn't refuse when the member allured him with the statement that the guitar given to him was sakyou's. He began singing, "why can't we just take him as the lead singer?" the man asleep lifted his head. It was SAKYOU! the one Kazune strongly admired. That is the very moment it all began, careers, popularity, and the most important ingredient of a good yaoi, LOVE.

Characters: Kazune is an adorable and likable character despite how he is so composed on stage. He was the lead singer of the band named Keel at first but then quit for a "reason I can't tell you" and joined the band BLANCA to debut and became known nation-wide. Sakyou is a long-haired cool bishie, he has a hard time dealing loving a guy but later on overcomes it, he is the guitarist of KEEL and the one at fault for turning Kazune into a pro singer.

I liked this manga because: It was enjoyable! You can't end the manga without your voice getting hoarse from all the shrieking. The romance was well-balanced and not over-the-top like some mangas. The art was quite promising since the movements flowed smoothly, especially the love scenes. The relationship between Kazune and Sakyou made me squint my eyes from the cuteness, they were my ideal couple. There were some dramatic parts in the manga but not overly dramatic but it was well balanced with a nice dose of comedy. It might be a little confusing on some scenes where the first person's narrations changes into either Kazune or Sakyou but most of the scenes we can see it's Kazune's thoughts we're reading.

Overall I recommend this manga for all those yaoi readers out there looking for a manga to pass the time, but I may not assure you it will be a masterpiece. Hope I helped you with this review.

Tired of lovesick girls trying to soften cold-hearted bishies? Then I believe this manga is a nice recommendation.

A girl that has an unusually higher flexibility than normal people goes through a normal morning in school, until a guy with men in black takes over the classroom looking for her, the guy that seems to be their leader spots her and says 3 forceful yet unexpected words.... "Be My Bride"

The story is a bit different from those cliche shoujo plots, the girl was not the first one that fell head over hills for the guy but the other way around. The relationship was too easily ... achieved, no bumpy journey for the protagonist, thus giving of dissatisfaction to the reader. But to those who wants easy going relationships like those, then this manga is the best for you. It's quite short, expected from an easily achieved relationship but, cute.

I liked Tachibana Ran, a likable billionaire indeed, a bishie to top it off. Rika is a bit worthy to have such person court a middle classed girl like her. A nice couple.

To summarize it for you, it was a fun read though the ending might confuse you a bit and will leave countless questions stuck in your head, but it's worth it.

Before you read the manga go scan the genre first, Y-A-O-I, boy love, a genre about boy to boy romance, get it?, so dont start bad mouthing this manga and start a lame forum like "It was gross, didnt read the genre before i started reading it, oops" so please take your leave yaoi haters.

The manga is pretty simple not that great and praise-worthy but I gave it a 9 and I wrote a review anyway, I just loved the development of the relationship though it was just a one-shot it was satisfying enough,i find it better that way to avoid unnecessary excess plot ... that will ruin the feel of a cute yaoi manga. The *cough* scenes was not that extremely hot ( but hot) and will barely turn you on (eherm) although, the art is quite fitting for the manga. One thing I liked was that the uke wasn't a bit girly at all (regards to the anti-girly uke club) though he is cute in some ways. The seme quite spoiled considering he's a famous male actor. I enjoyed it a lot since the first few pages will surely squeeze out a squeal in you. Hope you enjoyed the manga as much as i did ja-ne~! >.

The thing that sets Kuroshitsuji apart from a lot of other shows, especially the over-hyped shounen anime that most people (myself included) have gotten used to, is just how damn dark it is. It’s a show where evil triumphs… and that’s a good thing. It’s a show that isn’t afraid to kill off characters. And just when you start thinking that maybe Sebastian, for all his demonic powers, isn’t such a bad guy, his utter apathy for the death that unfolds around him shocks the viewer back into the realization that the hero of the show is just plain evil. In fact, it seems that ... most of the characters are shady bastards with hidden agendas, leaving the audience rooting for the forces of evil. Ah, the refreshing feeling of evil winning. [insert maniacal laughter here]

In most anime worlds, revenge is a fruitless endeavor that never fulfills the way the avenger hopes it will. Most anime, especially shounen anime, exist under the assumption that good will always triumphant over evil (eventually) and that fighting in the name of friendship, honor, or for the sake of others will guarantee victory. So that must make Kuroshitsuji the opposite of shounen anime. The hatred and revenge that dominate Ciel’s heart is what drives Sebastian’s loyalty, and as long as their contract remains, Sebastian’s demonic strength will overcome any of Ciel’s enemies. So, the moral of the story is, live for hatred and a demon will make all your wishes come true. Selling your soul for the win! But I guess when the hero of the show is a demon, evil is going to win over good… and everything else.

I loved this manga! even though it's not done yet i know that there will be an excellent ending!

The story is quite amazing! And I loved the characters. Kurosaki is good-looking, hot, and always there when teru needs him the most, even though he's often cruel to Teru. Kurosaki is always looking after Teru, and had always loved her. Teru in the other hand have this very special person to her, Daisy, a text mate who her brother introduced to always help her in her times of need. Teru is quite smart and hard-working, she lost her brother a year ago, she is currently working ... as an assistant for Kurosaki in order repay her debt for the glass she broke on the first chapter. Now she has to deal with the loads of work Kurosaki is giving her and with Kurosaki himself. The only thing I dislike here is that there are no signs of romance yet but there will be in the future I suppose! Cant wait!!!


I loved this manga because of the art (good), Characters (fine), Enjoyment (enjoyable!), and the story (very unique and cute), overall this manga is magnificent!
A story that will keep you turning the pages!!!

Isaku Natsume's Dash! contains two stories: the title story Dash! takes place around a high school judo club. Saitoh is the star member of the team, and the reason Akimoto applied to that particular school. However on closer inspection the master judoka isn't quite what Akimoto had expected - he seems to be lazy and spends no time in the dojo practicing. However, he takes Akimoto as his gopher and the boy spends a lot of time following him and obeying his orders. As Akimoto's feelings towards Saitoh take a turn from friendly to lusty, he also discovers Saitoh's dark secret the older boy has ... been hiding.

Another half of the book is a story called "Cheeky!" and it's about basketball-playing Taka whose younger cousin Yoshirou suddenly appears on his doorstep claiming to have run away from home after getting in trouble with a boyfriend. The cousins haven't seen each other since they were kids, and Yoshirou seems certainly very different to the last time Taka saw him: promiscuous with both men and women and cheeky, yet behind the curtains deeply insecure and anxious. He comes on to Taka repeatedly, but although the introverted Taka brushes him off jealousy starts to raise it's head when Yoshirou starts flirting with his teammates.

Although I prefer to have just one story with a single set of characters in one book, the premise of two longer stories works for me too. The stories are just long enough so that you get to know the boys, there's time for a little bit of character development and the climax. These stories are not too complex and follow the standard BL formula of "boy meets boy, falls in love, doubts his feelings and gets past them" - but the characters themselves are much more than that. Especially Natsume's ukes deserve three cheers for their cheekiness and attitude: both Saitoh and Yoshirou have spunk and don't fall into either the timid blushing uke nor the angry aggressive uke stereotypes but are very much their own characters. Saitoh with his adorable grin is strong and independent. Yet he doesn't see anything wrong with submitting to the younger boy, and even better doesn't change into a blushing bride after the deed but retains his authority as the sempai, almost topping Akimoto from the bottom. Yoshirou is a little bit more traditional uke character, but he's very much instigator and the aggressive party in the relationship. Semes are a bit more forgettable: Akimoto is the large and slightly clumsy and blushes cutely when he dotes after Saitoh, and Taka is yet another big dark-haired somber seme.

I really like Natsume's art - it's very clean, drawn almost in shonen style and reminding me a lot of Yellow Tanabe's Kekkaishi (and Saitoh is a spitting image of Kekkaishi's Yoshimori). Personally I much prefer this kind of style to more flowery and shoujo-like style on the other end of the BL spectrum. Natsume's boys are athletic and personable - not quite men yet, but built well enough that they don't look like children either. As a 16+ title, kisses and passionate blushes are the hottest thing Dash! has to offer - although both couples do go all the way, there isn't any nudity and closest we get to it are wonderful flashes of pecs and abs. For me it's a bit of a tease as I don't normally go for anything under M, but the nice art and characters make it worthwhile.

Dash! is the usual high Juné production quality, with the exception of slightly thicker and heavier paper. Sound effects have been translated (although not always replaced) but honorifics haven't been kept except for senpai and kohai that have been kept untranslated without explanation to their meanings. Translation is flowing and natural.

Dash! is delightfully cute: light on the plot but saved by more interesting characters than your average BL manga. It doesn't include any non-con elements or graphic details, but is not sickly sweet or innocent either - thoroughly enjoyable fluff.
