similar settings (a small town, seemingly perfect, but with mysterious, borderline horror, stuff going on) and similar tones (serious comedy, unrealistic plots, over-the-top reactions). the main differences are the length of the shows (migi&dali being a single cour) and the fact that jojo includes fights.

High Score Girl

These two are not from the same era, and they have very different genres and topics. But both are about a young boy meeting a mysterious girl, being annoyed at first, but also a little fascinated, and then having their relationship slowly evolve. There are also some similarities in the comedy, which relies a lot on the fact that the girl has the upper hand in their love-hate relationship.

both works paint a very dark portrait of humanity. they are also deep dives into the very deranged mind of the main characters. but the common attribute that strikes me most is the strange kind of humour that they share. like, the story is so heavy, everything in the world so wrong, that even the tiniest little details that show a light side, including most of all the naive nature of the protagonist, come out as hilarious. disturbingly so.

the settings are pretty similar: a murder mistery, on an isolated island, with a jaded main character, a side-kick girl with whom the mc has an ambiguous relationship. also, the focus in both works is what it means to be a genius. and they even share some nice art mixed with not-so-good cgi. as for the differences, whereas zaregoto provides a gallery of larger-than-life characters, the perfect insider has a more realistic feel.

Mahoujin Guruguru (2017)
|
guru guru is pretty unique in the anime landscape of 2017, but it reminds me a whole lot of gokudo. since it is a remake of another show from the 90s, i guess that makes sense. at a time animes with standard rpg plots were more frequent than not, both shows parody the simplistic story, and mock the usual manicheism and cheesiness, involving some pretty regressive comedy. so if you're looking for another entertaining comedy/adventure anime that's not as dumb as it looks, and you don't mind the 90s feel, gokudo is the way to go!

The most obvious similarity would be that both shows have close visual identities, with saturated colors. However, what strikes me most is that they both come out with setups that would put off lots of people (punch line: massive fan service, concrete revolutio: magical girl + mecha), but focus on not-so-bad stories with techniques that make them really interesting (punch line: a few nice twists, concrete revolutio: lots of time skips) instead.
