Both families have lost one parent, and in Binbou Shimai Monogatari the other is missing as well. If you enjoyed one, you would probably enjoy the other. There are times when they may bring tears to your eyes, but they are sure to leave you with a smile.

Both are school comedies about unusual club activities. In Love Lab, the club is focused on learning romance fundamentals, while in Chuu Bra!!, the club is about appreciating underwear. In both, one of the characters has a father figure who designs underwear. Surprisingly, Chuu Bra!! actually has a larger focus on romance than Love Lab, while Love Lab has more comedy.

Amanchu!

The atmosphere and characters are very similar, and they are both directed by Kenichi Kasai. Hikari and Futaba strongly resemble Akira and Fumi respectively in both appearance and personality. Both shows have a school setting, deal with a club, and have strong yuri vibes. A difference is that Amanchu! has much more comedy.

New Game!

Cute girls in a work environment. Both are slice-of-life comedies that begin with the MC first starting her job. There is an age difference between the two, as the characters in New Game! are actually adults, but the MC looks like she could fit right in with the girls in GochiUsa. The shows focus on character interactions, cuteness, and comedy. Both are great choices if you're in the mood for something lighthearted.

Both are slice-of-life comedies about people who work at a production company. In Shirobako, this is an anime production company, while in New Game!, they focus on game development. Both start when the MC is new to the job and explore the interactions between the people in the company as she gets used to her position. Shirobako more seriously focuses on anime development, while New Game! takes a more laid-back approach, devoting much of the screen time to cute moments between the girls. If you are looking for a more easy-going version of Shirobako with increased levels of cuteness, New Game! may be right for you.

Both are cute, slice-of-life comedies about the interactions between a man and younger girls. It is very heartwarming to watch them take care of each other and all benefit from their familial relationship. A difference is that in Amaama to Inazuma, the man is actually the father of one of the girls, whereas in Barakamon, the man is not related to them. Both are good at evoking emotions and are sure to leave you with a smile on your face. I would highly recommend both of them.

Both are school comedies that primarily feature female characters but also include a couple important male characters. Every time I saw Kotone in Softenni, I thought of Kana from Minami-ke because they have a very similar character design and are also both very energetic. Minami-ke focuses more on daily life, while Softenni is more concerned with tennis. Softenni has much more fanservice, but it is often used for comedic purposes.

Both are comedies that are a bit unusual. Yoshinaga-san'chi no Gargoyle is mostly fast-paced, wacky comedy and action, while Binzume Yousei is comedy based mostly on imagination and misunderstandings. I connected the two because they both include an episode in which the main characters become very close to a flower. The moments with the flower were some of the most touching scenes in both shows.

Both are the third and final season of their series. While the two previous seasons for both had little plot progression, these third seasons finally further the plot and reach a satisfactory ending (although Working!!!'s real ending is actually a 49 minute special). Content-wise, both are cute, slice-of-life shows about people working at their jobs. There is some romance in both, but it is much more central to the plot of Working!!! Working!!! also has more comedy. On the other hand, Aria is more relaxed and peaceful. Both are heartwarming.

Both Aria and Puchi Puri Yuushi are cute and heartwarming shows about friendship. Both focus on a group of girls at a similar age who explore their world and make precious memories. The girls in Puchi Puri Yuushi are actually older than those in Aria, but they haven't aged since they were ten and so look younger. Each girl has a non-human companion: a cat in Aria and a steward in Puchi Puri Yuushi. There is romance in both shows, but this is more prominent in Puchi Puri Yuushi. The romance aspects are cute and do not create much drama. There is little drama overall in both shows, though there is a bit more in Puchi Puri Yuushi. Both shows also have supernatural elements and comedy. One big difference between the two is that Puchi Puri Yuushi has a plot, while Aria does not. Both are definitely worth watching and are sure to make you smile.

Figure 17 has a much more predominant slice of life component, while Neon Genesis Evangelion is much more psychological. Both deal with characters who feel isolated, which is a central theme in both shows.
