I thought this was finished! I was surprised it was ongoing 🤭 Very cute, lighthearted, comfort anime with cute guys being friends and hanging out. If it's your jam, you can easily ship a few couples here but that's not really the vibe at all 🤭 They just hang out, meet randomly and vibe. Really cute! The episodes are about 10-minutes long, just around 8 minutes of actual content without OP and ED, the animation is nothing particularly good, but the character designs are very nice 💓 Love the voice acting and the comedy is understated and relatable for awkward folks 💕

Not very unique, but ... a nice addition to your repartoire of cute people doing cute things!

In a story of teenage sexual awakening, I'm find with problematic themes and heightened melodrama, but this feels like it had it just to have it, but then dropped all of it by the end anyway.

1) The love triangle. Boy and girl have been neighbors and friends since forever. Each realises they're in love with the other, they confess and end up dating. Except another girl ends up having a crush on the boy. This girl is prettier, mysterious and has essentially been groomed by her pedo acting coach (yeah, there's that). So since she has been sexuallized since youth, she acts like sex is ... all she's worth anyway and tries to seduce the guy. She kind of feels bad about it. The boy is weirdly torn up over it. And the girls' friendship is at stake of falling apart. But in the end, this side plot is dropped. The childhood friends are still together. And the boy's sexual attraction to his girlfriend's friend, the jealousy of the girls over each other having the boy's attention, goes nowhere.

2) The teacher thing. Girl wants to be a writer and is trying to publish an erotic novel. Why? Idk, her editor says so. But she has no experience so she meets up with someone she's chatting with... Who ends up to be their teacher and eventual club advisor. She propositions him plenty of times. And he indulges her, but only enough not to be in trouble with the cops instead of stopping it (making her wear a thong to school and flash him, taking her to a love hotel) in a game of chicken to see who loses resolve first, I guess. Thankfully they don't have any sex. But nothing also happens with the girl, pretty much.

3) The uptight club president gets a boyfriend first. It's actually quite cute. Almost no drama. The quiet ones always get it lol

4) Lesbian from left field. Finally, the "plain" one of the girls end up falling in love with the pretty seductress. Which to me came as a surprise, because if anything I thought she was going to be ace-- she has expressed no interest whatsoever before. Kind of shoed in, as a kind of consolation price after the boy and girl childhood friends became end game.

This was just very weird. And it didn't help that these teenagers were drawn like they were in middle school.

I don't think I'll ever be objective when it comes to Mob because I relate so much to him and his struggle— the struggle to express the real you, to relate to others, to develop your skills, reach your potential, and to find a place to belong in the world with people you love and who love you back. All that being said, I think we all have a little Mob inside of us.

As usual the animation is top notch. The voice acting is second to none. And the score is absolute perfection. If you've bought into the art style this past 2 seasons, this ... continues to bring the usual charm, with enough fighting hype to make anyone excited.

The finale manages to do everything a finale ought to— raise the stakes, resolve them, come to a satisfying conclusion, have a future seem possible within the world although we will no longer see it unfold, and make you feel like the time and emotional investment was worth it.

Mob Psycho is life affirming, life changing, heart warming and unforgettable. Thank you for the journey!

I don't think I've watched a property like this before-- with the very short runtime (around 4 minutes each episode) and limited animation-- this is more like a web original project type of thing than a proper 'anime,' I guess.

The characters are basic, almost one-note, in their characterization. What saves it is the hilarious, and quite honest, depiction of sibling relationships. They bicker, they nag, they never want to pay anything for the other, and add in a dash of physical violence with the martial arts-practicing younger sister against her meek older brother.

I think there are 2 more seasons of this, which I am not ... loathe to finish off, even if the enjoyment factor is closer to watching a Youtube clip for me than I necessarily would have for an anime, if that makes sense.

An underrated gem. An instant classic. Masterful visual storytelling. Sublime music. Gorgeous animation.

The way this Japanese classic medieval epic has been adapted makes sense. Rather than the episodic nature of the Heike Monogatari, an original character (blind girl Biwa, who can see the future and the dead) was used to frame the story. I frankly don't mind it. It's so ridiculous to me that people rated this low because an underaged girl was married to an older man. Like, did you forget this was set in the 12th century? You balk at "eye superpowers" that was used to form a narrative thread, but you want ... this to take a firm political stance against child brides? Make it make sense.

Gave this a try because I'm always on the look out for non-ball game sports anime and gymnastics seems ripe for storytelling— we all know about the drama, the skill and the high that the sport can get, especially after the US Women's team performance at Tokyo.

But this is ridiculous. Dropped it after 2.5 episodes. I've seen other reviews that gush about this, and maybe there's something to it, but I cannot get past the annoying start. They inserted ridiculousness seemingly just for the sake of being wacky, zany, or idk ~original~ but they break immersion instead.

There's the big bird that talks which ... is stupid. Leon, this foreigner that I assume is a fan, pretending to be a ninja and being chased by agents?? The acupuncturist is fem and wears makeup which is good, but he also touched Leo's "leg" (butt really) within 3 seconds so that's just a gag character in my opinion.

I already know there's gonna be stuff about believing in your passion, determination, not giving uo even if you're an older athlete with a busted shoulder, asking for and accepting help, etc. Sports anime can only go so many ways. I'm not looking for originality. But I do want it to come in an earnest way, not some wacky shenanigans which only annoy insteas of intrigue me.

This anime has good bones and there is potential for it to be really good. I get Run with the Wind vibes from this. We have a corporate badminton team that's settling in with each other after the addition of our main lead, Shiratori Mikoto, a "prodigy" newbie with a "foresight" ability but highschool trauma which holds him back from playing his heart out. Each character already has their unique "thing" and I hope they get fleshed out beyond those roles as we go along.

The voice acting is great. (There are some notable Haikyuu! VAs here which is enjoyable). And the music is good as ... well. Since the corporation is a beverage company, there's a lot of food and drink shots which are done really well. But I could do with better art, especially for action shots. I hope they're just holding back the budget for when we finally get to the intense tournament matches.

I'm most intrigued because this is sports but with adults. And adults with jobs. They aren't just recruited athletes, too. They're actually in sales and they do market research and product development. I don't think I've seen that angle explored before. This one is flying under the radar but if they play it well, I can see this being a new addition to my favorite sports anime.
