I really liked the anime, and before explaining why, yes, I read the manga. The manga is better, but the anime is also good (not as good as the manga but ok). First of all, if you've never read the manga, do not watch it. Because you won't understand and will hate it. After reading the manga, you can enjoy this pretty small anime, acclaimed by critics.
