Appalling!

What happened? I'm sure that's what all non-LN readers like me who watched this have thought too.

I'm going to keep this short as there's not much to digest here

So I'm pretty sure that every to aru series fans were excited and happy to see that index 3 is finally going to happen. But this is what we got, an absolute horrendous adaptation of who knows how many volumes crammed into one season of anime.

From pacing to character introduction to character development (wait no, there's no time for them to develop here) it's all done trash.
The pacing is absolutely terrible, for example when ... index was just with tou.a then the next minute she was captured but for some reason was let go anyway.
Then there's character introductions, they just kept on showing new characters without proper introduction. then they just got suddenly tossed aside and miraculously pop up on something important the next scene, but still you don't know who is it.

Calling this trash won't even suffice, this isn't an adaptation but a speedrun of a summary of a summary of the LN several volumes.

Pretty sure only novel/wiki/spoiler readers would be the ones who can follow this speedrun anime, and even then I doubt novel readers actually enjoyed watching this.

So for anyone planning to watch this, I would seriously advice you to just not waste your time, better go read the actual novel.

MobuSeka is not like any other isekai story...... or not! It really is like all other isekai stories out there. So is it worth the time to read? let's see here

Story: 9/10 to 5/10
The series starts fresh as the MC and setting is quite novel to the eyes of a reader which comes with new potential for story to be different fr all others. The first few volumes were so good that you wouldn't even noticed you've read too much, the characters are unique to their own which gives this novel a variety of enjoyment throughout reading. The problem is halfway through the volumes, ... the story becomes weak and repetitive and pretty much killed the character development of his characters in this novel which in turn makes this less enjoyable to read.

The series doesn't have that much illustration but most of it were all good ones.

Character: 8/10 to 3/10
Leon is one interesting MC as he just do whatever he wanted to and proceeds in his pace not minding others which in turn puts him into situations he desperately have to get out. All of which are great during the first few volumes, but on later volumes he just turned into generic isekai p*ss* MC. I felt bad for Ange and Olivia that they just got tossed aside and disregarded on later volumes, Leon was so forward when they were just friends but when they came to be lovers Leon just became a generic p*ss* MC all of a sudden.

Enjoyment: 8/10 to 2/10

Overall: 5/10
I really enjoyed the first few volumes of this novel and so was disappointed on how it turned out on later volumes.

Would I recommend this?
- it's 50/50, it's starts good but then falls really hard.
if you wanna be like me and waste time, you can go ahead. although my tip for you is just to close your brain and just read it, so that you may not notice the flaws of characters and story later on, which will make you somehow enjoy it.

first of all, this is only up to the chapter that I have read so there might be edit on future

there are some rough parts but the story pace and setting is quite good and enjoyable, tho after reading a while it's getting stale and kinda repetitive

nothing much to say as I only have seen a few, but those few are very good.

Character: 5
aside from his ever-increasing mana pool, mc didn't have much improvement. he didn't have clear goals, his indecisiveness haven't change and he is still being swayed (idk if this is the right term) by other ppl.
...
the author probably want him to break out of the typical isekai mcs by making him "unpredictable" but honestly he didn't have much difference with them.

the other characters are quite better than the mc but not much.

Enjoyment: 6
it's only quite enjoyable at first. it's not like I want him to participate in war for this story to be quite enjoyable, there are series which are very good even if it have little to no fight scenes

Overall: 6
For now I'll give this a Fair rating, it's not that good but it's not bad either. there are a lot of points where they have to improve and I hope it will improve in the chapters ahead.

I think I'm still halfway through it, but for now I will not really recommend this series.

if you want to read the series then do so. we might have differing opinions so what I may find fair, you might find it good or bad. I do tried to objectively write this without any bias. thank you for reading this review, I'll update it when I read more

I haven't read any LN or other source materials of the anime so I will not give any bias towards it as I only have seen the anime. also I made this after watching 11 episodes so far

first of all, is this worth watching?
straight answer, NO


Story: 2/10
It started with a good episode 1 and it showed some promise, even if the setting is generic isekai one. However, the build up and the story on next episodes are confusing and dreadful to watch. I think most of the anime should care about how ... they would transition from one scene to another but this anime didn't do it, they rushed the story and they would insert random scene who knows where they got it and start on a new scene right after.

(This Paragraph contain spoilers)** But still, the story is bearable until when we got to episode 10 and 11, the king suddenly wanted to make a discord between the brothers and make wendelin the heir, they spout some grand nonsense about developing the land while doing nothing for all these years and kept the people and the region poor, I mean if you wanted to fix the problem you would start dealing the actual problem instead of shifting the blame, why did I say so? it is because the region is poor to begin with even the lord have to work coz of the poverty over the entire region and yet the king and the palace didn't bother helping or invest on them, so who is in fault here? the lord or the king? yes the king and now he will kill 3 birds with one stone; (1) the blame will be on the heir instead of his, (2) he wanted to make wendelin the heir and have him invest on the land with his money, (3) he will be the one to reap the rewards after the region became good. At first look nothing is wrong there, the people wanted a better leader and wendelin with his assets can improve the land right? But no, first is why did the heir became that shit? It is because the king plotted a plot to provoke him by using wendelin, and the second and the biggest reason is if the king or the country itself have the money to pay for wendelin "great" achievements then WHY did they not invest that "money" on the land for all these years


Art: 7/10
It's pretty decent and good for most parts. The CGI is kinda bad tho, they could've made it better.

Sound: 7/10
I don't have any complaints or issues about the sound, it's kinda good.

Character: 1/10
Character? what is character? tbh if we have 0 here I would have rated it 0/10. The other characters have been written poorly and the mc build up have potential but it all gone to waste. Why? in short, the mc is still a spineless kiddo like in episode 1 who can't even decide for himself

Enjoyment: 3/10
I still enjoyed the first parts of the series while not bothering the bad things. the first part was still bearable and still kinda fun but the latter is written poorly and it's so hard to enjoy it.

Overall: 3/10
I think the anime is rushed plus the story is poorly written, the character development was there but it was disappointing, they could made it better but they didn't bother to do soI usually do not dis any anime that I don't like and not watch it, but I had watched this anime and as I said it was disappointing. I gave it a chance but it all went downhill.

If you wanted to watch action, adventure, fantasy or even generic isekai then as I said, it is not worth watching. why did they even bother to adapt this? there are far more generic isekai anime to watch or even manga/manwha/LN to adapt that are still better than this. or better yet go read some other manga,manwha or LN instead of this one.
