At first the anime is hard to watch but it gets better towards the end, for the first half ill give it a score of 3 of 10, for the second half, ill give it a score of 7 of 10.
The story itself is a failure, sorry but its one of them anime that is almost a chore to watch. The art is a little lacking, it looks older and not as clean as newer anime. The sound when they sing isn't bad, so ill rate that a little higher. Character development is average, nothing special there till the end.
I enjoyed the ending,

If you watch it, don't forget to watch whats after the credits of this show otherwise you'll probably miss the entire point that this special offers. Just thought id mention that first before my review since I almost missed it too.
The show itself feels more like a filler episode rather then a movie or a special. The characters are somewhat mellowed out of the normal reactions as there are no surprises or things to expect. The beginning of this show starts off great, ill give it a 8 or 9 for the first few hundred episodes. However the show should of ended over a year ago. They had 3-6 episodes left to air as the manga was over and done with. Almost as if they are expecting the show to continue they have been adding fillers, For the most part its 1 drawn out episode then 4-10 filler episodes. The story is great, but the fillers are not, it has became a joke of several of the communities. I do recommend that you watch it, but follow the suggestions of

Who here has liked the original dragonball Z? This anime will deliver the quality from the past (its still the same level unfortunately, watch the battle of the gods movie in place of the first few episodes). It will also deliver the characters from the past, which in later episodes becomes a major plot twist. It begins where dbz left off, making this more of a sequel then a new anime series and if you thought that our favorite characters were overpowered before.. well... they pounded that level into the ground and are even more powerful... I highly recommend this anime, yes it does have
