This show is often described as a social commentary on the dark side of the entertainment industry. If that's exactly what you were looking for, you may be disappointed. Another reviewer ZNoteOtaku already described this in more detail, but the anime ends up evolving into a more typical idol show with cute characters and their aspirations, with a mystery/revenge subplot.

Even for a generic, power-fantasy, wish fullfillment isekai - this is still very bad.
The show begins with the classic fat, lonely, bullied protagonist who discovers a new secret power in another world. Except rather than slowly discover his powers while getting back at those who bullied him, Yuuya transforms within the first episode into a tall, impossibly attractive and perfect being. Every character he encounters falls hopelessly in love with him, and he is serendipitously accepted into a new school for geniuses and prodigies, where his new school is immediately enamoured with him.
