Oshi No Ko is one of, if not *the* best drama anime out there. It brings to light that acting and idol careers are lives full of hard knocks and toxicity. The anime shows things like how some fans can go too far with their love for idols (episode 1), to how fans get way too toxic over things that are more or less just happy little accidents (Episode 6). Every character is a distinct personality that are each going through their own personal struggle, some even sharing similar struggles with others. Ruby and Aqua are a perfect yin and yang; we have Ruby, who's ... upbeat and ready to take on the idol biz, seeing everything positively, while on the other end is Aqua, who's cold and collected, with a slight touch of cynicism.

The anime looks gorgeous and has a boatload of happy moments, but isn't afraid to get dark, with [spoil (Episode 1 for new watchers)] Ai being killed by one of her fans and the several minutes afterwards of her final moments with Aqua and Ruby, [spoiler end] to one of the characters [spoil (episode 6), trigger warning] attempting suicide after being absolutely wrecked by toxic fans wishing nothing but the worst for her, barely being saved by Aqua at the end. [spoiler ends] No anime is perfect, of course, and there's definitely some arguments to be made about some not-so-pretty moments (Personally I felt like the baby part in Episode 1 could have been a little shorter, but that's just opinion, and besides, the babies are cute <3), but for the most part it's a wonderful ride, and deserving of the highest rating you can muster.

Oshi no Ko is one of the few animes that actually has convinced me to write a review about it just to tell you how good it is! But don't take my word for it, watch the anime for yourself and see how you like it.

i came here for spicy titty demon but i walked away with a tender loving relationship and a heartboner the size of said tits.

the characters are fine, and they are also Vermeil. the art style is alright, it's what you'd expect from alot of animes, decent enough. story is alright, wraps itself up in the 12 episodes it gets. i'm expecting a season 2, but i'd be content with it having a single season and just reading the manga for further story.

alto is a chad who accidentally found a babe and now he cherishes her

i like vermeil, she's a cute demon who did some bad ... things and wants to come to terms with them. and alto the chad helps her get over those things.

Ever wondered what happens when a good show does something so batshit insane that no one thinks it's good?

Watch the first episode of this anime, and then skip straight to the last one.

... Congradulations! You have now experienced this sensation.

The writers of this show must have smoked so much crack that their brains were absolutely fried, This show, about a couple of folks just enjoying love and just being lovers, where a couple of sciency folks try and explain love through math, science, and statistics, suddenly in the final episode starts with about 7-10 minutes of a girl getting assaulted, tazed, abducted, and then has a guy stabbed and beaten with an active taser infront of her while her hands are legs are tied, after said man threatened to assault her because she kneed him directy in the face.

And then, they have the audacity to completely turn about-face the entire mood of the scene by having the main character pull a slideshow out of his ass and start explaining shit like DNA to the villain with a FUCKING TASER, all sounding like he pulled everything out of Neil DeGrasse Tyson's book with a sprinkle of Reddit.

You can't make something with such a serious intro and suddenly have it be this comedy-filled bit about how a science-loving guy can best 4 criminals and an unhinged guy with a taser by just talking and then pretending water is a skin-eating acid.

How the hell did we get here?

The final episode is literally the only thing dragging this down; everything else is a wonderful show. If someone told you to watch this anime, just keep this in mind: Don't watch the final episode. I didn't think an entire TV Show could be out-of-character, but the final episode proved me wrong.
