how all support characters in this anime can be cool (including the antagonists) and have something interesting in them except the main character who is an absolute SIMP for Rachel, altruist with one-dimensional reaction to everything bad that happens in this show "b-but we are FrIenDs TmT" and without any evolution of the values/beliefs when encountered with rejection
in the end, I felt like watching naruto trying to save Sasuke all over again
