an adequate series. I'm unequivocally upset over the lack of interconnection in the story and the construction of both the characters and the world. Considering my high hopes from the advisably auspicious "Studio Pierrot" and the potential of the cyberpunk-themed style, which it makes substantial use of, my indignation should be apperent. At the very beginning we're introduced to many generic characters whose attributes and personal traits won't develop in the course of the series, although it hints they will. That's why the cast seems to succumb to its fundamental, one-dimensional characteristics. The factors mentionend, as well as the mediocre implemented cyberpunk-theme let to my final evaluation that "Akudama Drive" has no value as an anime worth watching.
I end my review with a suitable quote from the gentleman in my introduction: "Heck, Just Don't Even Bother With It." - TheReportOfTheWeek
