I would have rated this anime higher except for the ending... I haven't finished the anime, but I do know what happens. *SPOILER!* the fact that Ichigo ends up with the boring, male side character that is completely static and doesn't change is boring and typical. I would have much rather had her with either of the two actual boys that are interesting (and though I would have loved her and Kisshu, i am not pouting at the fact that she didn't get together with the guy i wanted her to) and have an actual place in the story rather than the guy who ... she has to hide part of herself from for the majority of the anime.
The storyline is amazing. The fights they get into to save the world are so cute, and the whole back story unfolding before your eyes is stunning. The characters all have depth. They all change over the course of the series. The one exception to the rule is Aoyama. He doesn't change and is sort of the odd one out in the anime. If something could be worked on, it was him.
Other than that, the anime was fantastic, and I loved watching it!

I really didn't think I'd like this show. I was dead wrong about my initial reaction to this show.

Haruhi is an absolute riot, and throughout the twists ans turns in the plot, I found myself laughing with the rest of them, and yet sighing with annoyance at Kyon's lack of insight to Haruhi's romantic feelings. I fell in love. It's a really good show, keeping you guessing with every episode, and yet you somehow can predict what will happen, in a good way.

I wish there was more romance, but the meager amount of it already in there is somehow perfect for this show, so no ... real complaints there. I think that in itself (and how I wish there were more than 28 episodes in there entire series) is the reason that this show scored an overall 9, when everything else was a perfect 10.

ONe note of suggestion- watch it in the Kyon order- it may be confusing, but the last nonlinear order episode is so much more 'final' than the real last episode- trust me, you might not care up until "The Melancholy of Harihu Suzamiya (spelling) Part 6," but after watching that episode last, you will truly understand why that is best left last- can you say romance??? Best website to watch if you want to watch in the airing order/nonlinear order/Kyon's order is probably Dubhappy- it has them all in that order. Please watch, and do enjoy it as much as I did!

I desperately tried to avoid this anime before I finally got around to watching it; I though that it would be stupid and boring. I was dead wrong.

I was so pleasantly surprised by this anime that it leaves me astounded. This was a heartwarming story about young adults trying to determine right from wrong with no help but their own previous, difficult pasts. It cracked me up, and it made me tear up a minute later.

The storyline, characters, and everything else was amazing. I could not exactly relate to any of them, but more along the lines of passionately awaiting the next turn of ... events with worry for the characters. The story drew me in, and really made me feel apart of the storyline. I definitely was not only impressed with this anime, I was forced to fall in love with it. I am so happy that I made the decision to watch it- any reader reading this should at least try the first episode if you are as unsure as I was.

One thing I need to get out is that there is romance. Many reviews say that there is only romance in the last episodes, but I could feel the gradual buildup throughout the series, and I feel that nothing was sudden, and was absolutely entranced by everything about Angel Beats. Perfect 10 out of 10 in my book!

Maid-Sama was absolutely a wonderful, heartwarming surprise. I had heard it was similar to Special A, and was curious, but (very shallow reason, i know) was cautious because I hadn't found the male lead in SA to be really cute. I had been looking forward to someone similar to Len from La Corda D'oro, because they're both very formal and uptight, but was slightly disappointed. Nevertheless, I decided to try out Maid Sama, and was absolutely in love the moment it started. I love Usui, and all of his perverted actions, along with his kind interior personality when he's worried about Misaki, and I just ... love Misaki in general. I heard that the art is not as good as in the manga, but I LOVED watching every second of Maid Sama. Every single person in the show is someone you'll either love or hate, like Misaki's little sister... she's so funny! I have nothing but good to say about it. If you like the kind of shojo when the guy likes the girl, but the girl doesn't know, or the guy and the girl *seem* to hate each other (but you can feel their true feelings), this is definitely the anime for you!
