"The more something shines, the more you notice the darkness." This line perfectly encapsulates the world of Make Heroine ga Oosugiru!, a series that boldly flips the script on the traditional high school romance. At the heart of this story is Kazuhito, a character so unremarkable that even his own teacher couldn't remember having him in class. He’s not the genius, the athlete, doesn't have any thing special, in fact, he’s the ultimate side character. And that’s exactly what makes this anime so captivating.
Each girl around him sparkles with her own unique charm (I liked in particular the sister :D), all of whom are far
...
more interesting and appealing than the MC. They are the heroines of every romance trope imaginable, yet they all end up in the friend zone. Kazuhito, despite being the so-called protagonist, plays the role of a supporting actor in his own life—overshadowed and outshone by everyone around him.
Overall, the show delivers a flawless experience with a smooth and engaging pace that keeps you hooked from start to finish, helped by the wonderful art, which is keen on detail, highlighting the heroines while leaving Kazuhito as the unassuming protagonist, and a soundtrack that enhances the mood.
Watching all these episodes I wonder if an anime can truly revolve around a protagonist who isn't special till the end, or will it succumb to the typicall formula of the popular girl falling for the MC? This uncertainty is part of what keeps the story so engaging and I can't wait to see the end.

I'm so prouf of this season, I feel like a father watching his son grow in the right direction, and watching him grow into a man is so satisfying.
In this season, there is finally what I've always been expecting for, the character development for Kazuya. That's right, he is not just a jerking off all day kinda guy anymore, he actually became someone you can rely on. We see this more mature side of him and is so refreshing to watch coming from the previous seasons. He has his ups and downs, but overall he is finally starting to grow.
There is a very
...
intersting new character, Mini. OMG, she is what the show always needed. She makes the story more interesting by bringing her brighter personality and helping Kazuya and Chizuru with their emotions. She is such an incredible wingman that I couldn't help myself but to cheer everytime she made one of her plans to get them closer.
However, it seemed to me that she was kinda a replacement for Mami, who is not shown in this season, and that's a shame, cuz Mami had an interesting personality and thanks to that she was carrying the previous seasons, everyone seemed so ingenuine in S1 and S2 that It was starting to be too repetitive and boring, so a lot of people lost interest in the anime, but between their two, I would stick with Mini, and It seemed that Mami will come back in the next season. Can't wait!!
But now let's mention the incredible work they did with Chizuru. She has always been close about her personal matters and always solved her problems by herself, so It was actually very heartwarming seeing her finally opening up.
I believe this season is the best one for Rent-a-girlfriend, not only in terms of story, but also the art and the music are more enjoyable and on point. They actually put some effort in making this season. However, I expect a lot more from TMS, especially if we see their previous works, this studio made one of the best romance anime of all time, Fruit Basket, and after that they continued making very good romance anime like Relife, Nagatoro, Orange, etc. So you can't really blame me for expecting more, they have the tools to do more, a lot more and I believe Rent-a-girlfriend has a lot of hidden potentials.
Bring it on S4!!!

This movie is very good.
Watching it you'll get something not too rushed nor slow-paced, with beuatiful music and good interactions between characters. However, the conversations does get confusing and hard to understand from time to time, and I had to rewatch some parts to finally get it lmao, It's a movie that forces you to think, and that's why It absorbs you so much.
The story has some inetersting aspects, like the 'Adolescence Syndrome' and the causes behind it, I would have enjoyed the movie more If there was some character improvements, I felt like to give enough screen time to every girl, this aspect
...
was a bit neglected, maybe instead of a movie it would have been more solid a 13 episodes anime like the first season.
Overall, It's still a good movie and I recommended It to any one who watched the Bunny Girl Senpai story.

What a disappointment!! (my score: 4/10)
If you come from the first season expecting to see a character or a story development you will be highly disappointed.
This season felt like a 12 episodes of an OVA. Don't watch an episode expecting that the next one will be better, they all the same. The entire season was concentrated in developing singular stories of singular characters that had nothing to do with the main story, at some point they just did literally an OVA where Chitoge, Kosaki, Tachibana and Miyamoto were mages that had to defeat Maiko, and the fun part is that they continued this story
...
of mages in the OVA of 2016.
The whole anime is about Raku finding the girl that had the right key to discover which girl was the one that he made the promise 10 years ago, but at some point they totally forgot about it and never mentioned it again. It was such a shame, because they found out that there was something inside the lock but watching the anime you'll never get to know what It was, and I think that one of the biggest mystery about the whole anime was the reason why Chitoge, Kosaki and Tachibana had each one of them a key. However, there two big topics that made the anime more interesting in the first season were totally put it aside, so the only thing carring the second season was the harem, and on top of that also the rivalry between the gangsters and the Yakuza (and the police), which was the reason why Raku and Chitoge became a couple, was nom-existent.
I can't understand why they had to ruin the anime in this way. Raku already had developed his harem in the first season, but they added three girls at the end of the season: Haru, Paula and Haru's friend. It was such a stupid move, It was already obvious that he was leading in two directions and had to choose which patch to take between Chitoge and Kosaki, and introducing these new characters maybe to get the story more interesting was obsolete. They spent more episodes for Haru than Chitoge or Kosaki that were the main focus just to 'spicier' the fan service, but ruining in this way the anime.
The only good side about this season was the art that remained the same and was the only reason why I was able to finish all the episodes, only because the first season did such a good job that made me love the show and made me feel nostalgic about it. The anime had so much potential that made me put it so high but I guess It just made it fell harder.
In the end, I feel like It was still worth it watching it because there were few scene where you can see the changes in Chitoge and her 'nicer' side where she finally understand her feelings for Raku, so that was like the lifeline for this second season.
