If you would like a more thorough version than the one you know from TV, then this is for you.
It goes beyond the Yellow brick road and continues the journey of Dorothy.
Going back home a few times but always being compelled to return to Oz.
On the plus side we are introduced to many more characters, as Dorothy travels round the Kingdom.
The Scarecrow is always more or less at Dorothy's side, helping her when needed.
I learned a lot more from this version, having not read any of the Books.
I can not recommend this enough, if you like the Classic's given a Japanese treatment, watch this.

If like me you looked forward to Bleach continuing, even after a long long break, then here it is/was.
I was one of those many Years ago, who continually searched the Internet, asking, Is Bleach returning??
I listened to various Conspiracies as why it was and why it wasn't, that was before i joined MAL.
Well here is why i'm not as pleased as i thought i would be.
What i did not like.
The horrible Greyish dark color scheme they have used throughout.
Imagine looking out your window at twilight, you can see things, but it's not very clear. That is today's Bleach.
The Character designs, everyone seems to be least ... a foot taller, especially Ichigo & Kenpachi. they all look stretched out and pointy.
The sometimes still pictures used instead of animating, they must have spent a fortune on production costs, so Why??
I could go on but this is what has stuck with me since finishing weeks ago.
So what did i like??
Seeing all the characters again after so long.
That this is beginning of the end of the storyline.
I am actually a fan of Bleach, having watched the whole original series many times, even really liking the Zanpakuto Rebellion Arc, but not the horrible Fullbring Arc.
After waiting so long and being slightly disappointed, i stopped watching weekly and finished the last 4 episodes in one go.
There is no way this is a top 10 rating, i think everyone's anticipation got the better of them and they rated it so high because of this.
So, in Years to come people will be asking themselves, did i really give this a 10, Mmmmm? Yes you did.

I do not recommend watching these in one go, even as short as they are.
Trouble is you cannot really take it all in, they just melt into each other.
There are some really really funny episodes which get lost in the mix.
I would watch 20+ and enjoy the laughs.
The Rhinoceros Beetle ( If that is what it is ) is so funny supporting the Larva, as well as the Mosquito who turns up now and then, there is also a Love interest silly as it might seem.
It seems like at the end they grow wings which might suggest they are Butterflies, ugly one's though.
I loved the ... Animation which is clear and very Colorful, some people disagree.
So at less than 2 Minutes each, what are you waiting for.

Just a short review.
This is a Chinese Anime/Donghua about a Family of Three, a Mother, a Father and a little Child called Lanlan, the only difference is they have boxes for heads.
You might think that boxes would not work but in this case it really does, after one episode it just fits well.
The Mother is really the Boss of the Family even though she does not speak much.
Father is just like a Child having fun with the Daughter every chance he gets.
The Daughter Lanlan is just an inquisitive child who likes to play with the Father.
The episodes are very short, no more than 3 minutes ... but they pack fun into ever one.
The Animation is very simple, no backgrounds at all, again it works well for this.
There is Bubble blowing, Fishing, playing in the Park, eating snacks, naptime and playing in the Rain, just everyday things.
The Father is so childlike enjoying playing with Lanlan every chance he gets.
Like Father, like Daughter.
I fell on this by accident and so should you.
Best short in a while and i've seen many recently.
Onto Season 2.

Every so often you come across an Anime that is so Good you do not want to stop watching, Maybe one or two a Year, sometimes none at all.
This 3rd Season of Kingdom is definitely one of those, it is even better than the 2 previous ones.
All the Characters have a chance to shine in this, especially the Generals who are portrayed as twice the size of normal soldiers.
Depending which Country you come from there is no good or bad sides, even the opposite characters are given their special moments.
The Tactical parts of this War were exceptional, brilliant minds pitted against each other, trying to ... bring down the opposition. He Liao Diao ( Ten ) is becoming one who will be great in the future, she is also looking more Feminine after hiding her Sexuality from those closest to her, for obvious reasons.
Kingdom is not afraid of Killing people off if the storyline needs it, Generals you may expect will survive do not always, so when it does happen it can be quite a shock.
As i watched this over 2 Days i felt the impact more than watching weekly, you may prefer one or the other.
Lastly they could have actually finished this in 24 episodes, the last 2 felt like specials. Lei Qiang did not appear till these last 2 eps and these explain why and where she was, then shows her returning to Xin's party.
I thought the previous Seasons were Great but this goes one better and is recommended for people who like Historical Anime.

Have you ever wondered about Greek Gods & Myths and how they came about??
This Korean Anime will go a bit of the way to give you the basics.
I know a lot of people struggle to listen to Chinese/Korean or anything other than Japanese, do not let that put you off.
There are some Great Korean Anime out there if you look hard enough, you will get used to the voices in no time.
Art is not the best but it fits with the storyline.
The characters (are the best part in this ) will be well known to many of you as they are even famous today.
Zeus, Aphrodite, ... Hades, Medusa, Icarus, Hercules, Perseus, Pegasus, Narcissus, Eros, Hermes, who has not heard of at least a couple of these.
Zeus is the leader of the Gods and with many others appears frequently in these Tales, his wife Hera is the one trying to keep him in check.
I did not think Echo or Midas had anything to do with Greek Gods until i watched this, also Pandora is featured here.
These are actually probably aimed at a younger audience who have no knowledge before this, it's like a watered down version of the real thing.
I really did enjoy most of the 39 episodes and learned a few new things i did not know before.
What they do not tell you is most of the Greek Gods were Womanizers, Kidnappers, Rapists & Murderers. If you said no to Zeus he would Kidnap you, Rape you and Murder anyone who tried to rescue you, in this he takes you away happily.
That aside, you will enjoy these if you are even the slightest bit interested in Greek Mythology, I did.

Do you like Detective stories with good characters and really good storylines, also a Teen Detective in the making??
Well this is most definitely one you will like.
I could compare this to Detective Conan but this actually pre-dates that ( in the Manga ) by a few Years.
Kindaichi wants to follow in his Grandfathers footsteps by also becoming Japan's greatest Detective.
The best thing about Kindaichi is that it is more Adult themed as against DC's 6-7 Year Old's solving cases.
The characters are ( The best part ) very similar in both cases.
Miyuki is Kindaichi's best friend and potential Love interest ( Not yet though ) she ... accompanies Kindaichi in most of the crimes he solves, she is a really good sidekick.
Kenmochi is the Police Inspector who calls on Kindaichi quite a lot seeing as he knew his Grandfather and has seen first hand how good Kindaichi is.
There are many others including, Superintendent Akechi who is as good if not better than Kindaichi, they do help each other out at times.
Saki Ryuuji is Kindaichi's School friend who when called on follows him with his camera filming the crime scenes.
Kindaichi Fumi is Knidaichi' niece who sometimes finds herself being in on a investigation, she is the comedic type.
Then we have one who has a recurring role....
The Puppeteer From Hell who is actually a Murderer who Kindaichi promises he will put behind bars one day, he pops up regularly throughout the series as am Antagonist.
One of the best parts about Kindaichi are the longer episode arc's, some are 4-5 + which makes the cases more fleshed out.
Take the last 10 Episodes, we have a 5 and a 4 length cases.
The Russian Dolls is 5 Episodes which keeps you wondering all the way through, before the reveal.
Monster is 4 Episodes set in a Circus, again it will keep you guessing.
I only mentioned the last episodes as they were the last to be Subbed and were fresh in my mind.
The Subs by KL were fantastic all the way through, so thanks to them for taking the time to complete this Great series.
Overall in my opinion i find this just a bit better than DC as that we all know suffers from too much filler.
Less filler more thriller is what this offers to anyone willing to give this a chance.
I will finish off by saying Kindaichi is a bit of Pervert, always looking for a peak but not in a nasty way.
Miyuki keeps him under control when she sees this happening.
In Kindaichi' words....
"In the name of my Grandfather i will solve this Case"
After this watch "Kindaichi returns" which has better animation being quite recent.

Marin "Gojou jump" Gojou "How high" and that is the basis of this Anime.
Marin using what she has to get what she wants, whether it is intentional or not.
I had high hopes when i read the Synopsis thinking it was about Hina Dolls and their creation, not that that sounds great, just different.
Well that never happened, Gojou who makes Hina Dolls just threw that out the window for some Wet Dream fantasies. I only saw him draw 2 eyebrows on and hold them a bit all season.
I just wish that Manga writers would not portray all Japanese Schoolchildren as so dumb as to not ... see what is on front of them.
Surely Marin (being good looking) knows she is teasing Gojou by undressing in front of him, she cannot be that stupid.
Does making Hina Doll's have any bearing on this Anime or could he actually have had some other interest.
You may think i do not actually like this, but i did enjoy some, just not the dumbness of the main characters. As usual the MC Gojou is boring as hell.
While Marin shines Gojou remains dull. What is the Attraction??
The other characters vanished when their little bit was over, unless they appear again later.
The Grandad was useless, other than owning the Hina Doll Shop which Gojou was supposed to take over, even that seems less likely now his mind is elsewhere.
Animation was really nice & colorful.
So one last thing.
If Marin was really Ugly would you find this Romantic?? No, and neither would Gojou be helping her out. What does that say. Superficial Romance.

ACG = Animation, Comics and Games (in Chinese culture).
Ba Ma Laizi Er Ciyuan or my ACG parents is similar to otaku culture in Japan.
Qi the girl MC has been brought up with parents who have always been obsessed with ACG and have a bookshop filled with this, especially her father.
Yang Wei is the normal friend who sits next to Qi in class.
While Qi tries to distance herself from her parents hobby, Yang Wei finds out an even bigger secret.
His Mother was once a famous Manga writer ( pen name Chio ) from way back, when she was younger. Finding this out Yang Wei & his ... sister set to try and help her.
She gave it all up to start a family but has always had some regrets about what if?
So this is like two halves, firstly Qi gets the beginning episodes and Wang's Mother gets the latter one's.
Animation. This was nice & clean, better than some of the dull Chinese anime.
Sound. Only an ending song which was short but sweet.
Voices. I find Chinese voice actors very funny sometimes. It is slightly different than Japanese but if more people gave it a chance i think they may come around as well.
Characters. These were definitely the best part. Qi the girl suffers with ACG 24/7, from first thing til bedtime she tries to shy away from it. We find out that she had friends who laughed at her for this so she pretended she did not like it.
My favourite character was the Mother ( pen name Chio ) who finally came to terms with what she really wanted to do, continue with her Manga. Seeing her at a Comiket type event with her fans still interested was great, never give up on your dreams.
Overall. At a short running time you still get All sorts of laughs with these characters, especially the Father ( Magical girl Long Aotian ) acting out everyday.

This Is A Slight Variation Of "Journey To The West" With Similar Characters.
A Monkey, Pig, Sea Monster And A Buddha/Priest, All On A Journey To Find The Scriptures, Again. All Of These Are good To Watch. The Art Is Very 1980s, But Fine.
Then Came The Awful Part....
A Priest Uses The Teachings To Sleep With Really Young Boys. The Even Worse Part Is Showing Them Actually Enjoying It. There Are Love Hearts Above The Bed They Are In.
Then The Abused Boy Turns Into A ( Man ) Abuser Himself, Sleeping With Anyone Male Or Female.
I Always Was Led To Believe That Priests Or Very Religious People ... Do Not Sleep Around, This Shows Exactly The Opposite
If You Removed The 3 Or 4 Episodes Of This, The Rest Is Good But It's Hard To Dismiss When They Make It A Part Of The Storyline.
Be Warned, This Is Not Romantic At All.
If You Do Like JTTW And Want To Watch A Slightly Different One, Or To Complete all Of The Versions, Then Watch Thiis, But Try To Skip When It Gets Uncomfortable.
