The lead characters are naive in the beginning of the story but become wiser and skilled fighters. The differences of both these shows are big Kyou kara Maou! is shōnen-ai influenced and the main character is a boy and crosses worlds while in Akatsuki no Yona their is more of a revenge plot and the main character is female.

Tokimeki Tonight is a romantic slap stick comedy while Karin is a romantic comedy with some dramatic tones.

Shingu is about an alien invasion in 2070 while Ano Natsu de Matteru is more about a alien secretly hiding her identity both shows contain a lot of plot twist between characters maybe more in shingu than Ano Natsu de Matteru however Shingu doesn't have much romance but it does have some.They all both contain narration from the lead male characters who are both nerdy though one has feelings for someone the other is more a romantic focus and is obvious to the feelings someone has for him.

Both shows have a lot of action and are very fast paced but Ceres is more violent and Gorey another big difference is in Ceres is that their is a lot more romance.

Chou Kuse ni Narisou is sometimes refer too as the female version of Ranma 1/2.
