Warning: Slight spoilers
Let me start off by saying I am not a reviewer so take everything I say with a bit of salt.
Tsuki ga Kirei caught my attention when i was looking for a run of the mill romance to watch and turn my brain off to. When I first started the show I could not help but think that everything about the show seemed boring, plain and uninspired. From the characters to the plot and even the animation but i decided to push through.
What I ended up getting was a story that was really good at capturing how it feels to be a teenager
...
who likes someone for the first time. The first view episodes where great at this and at times it felt like looking back on my past self. From being nervous when you see each other in public and being worried that you are bothering each other when you text. I loved this aspect of the show and enjoyed what felt like looking at my younger self.
However the negatives of the show quickly started to overshadow the positives. THe biggest problem being the characters. To put it in simple terms they did felt like generic school boy 1 and generic school girl 1. They had nothing to make them likeable or memerable. It felt headache inducing at times when the two where trying to interact as it felt long and dragged out.
Beside this the animation and sound was below average. I felt bored while watching most of the times and couldnt get myself to like the characters or get into the story.
The show suffers from being basic and not having any things that make it stand out.
I would say watch the show if you have nothing else or are just getting into anime and want to try what romance is like. Otherwise I would say this show is not a must see and there are tons of shows that are better and more entertaining
This is all my opinion and i would recommend you watch the show before making a final opinion.
