(SPOILER WARNING!!!)

Words bubble up like soda pop is the first u rated film I've seen in a while (that's new at least) all the stuff I've been watching is either 15, 12, or pg. This show was also directed by Kyohei Ishiguro who also directed Psycho pass.(I love Psycho pass) so I had very high expectations for this even if, in my opinion, Psycho-pass is very similar to 'Minority Report', let's get into it.

STORY 6-10
In my opinion, the movie is very focused on the characters performing individual tasks rather than the actual plot. it seemed like the plot was an afterthought. One minute the characters ... in the movie are going about their business and they think "oh crap... we need to do the plot" and then try to scramble up whatever plot they *kind of* had from the beginning making the story feel kind of rushed for me. Even if it's rushed it's still ok, the story was at least interesting.

ART 8-10
Ok. The art in this film is fantastic, the sweeping shot at the beginning was amazing. The clouds, the lighting, the buildings, the birds, the grass. The colours are saturated which is very hard to pull off especially in a fully animated film. And the outlines are made to look like pencil and pen, I like the combinations of the two, the pen is used for things that you're only supposed to glance at because looking at it for too long would look a bit weird. Its also used for things that are in the background or far away. And the pencil is used for close up things that are detailed. But the fast movements are a bit weird because of the pace of the film.

CHARACTERS 10-10
The two main characters are told well. the other characters are a bit weird. There are multiple characters that you see once at the beginning and then never again until the ending, like for example the entire mall police force. Or maybe you see them again in the middle for a little cameo.
CHERRY 8-10
Cherry is a boy with social anxiety disorder and doesn't like talking in public and likes to make haikus. He's pretty good, I feel like he's a very likeable character who might be relatable to many.
SMILE 8-10
Smile is a part of a social media team with her sisters. she also has braces and is self-conscious about them, and so wears a mask. She is an interesting character.

CONCLUSION 8-10
The film is really good. I would watch it again. Fitting all of the character development and the plot into under an hour and a half is challenging especially with the plot being pushed to the side for fifty minutes of it. This film is pretty good. see you!

This anime was... okay.

STORY
The reason I gave it a 4 is that there were so many missed opportunities for example Misumi Eichii has an interesting backstory that's never explained until the first 1 minute of the last episode, ended on a cliffhanger, and then never addressed again. when his backstory was just getting interesting. honestly, I would have watched that show and enjoyed it more than this. Another thing I was frustrated about was how the show never resolved one of the storylines. (that Hoshinomori was Nobe, a game developer that the mc likes) and Mono (an online friend of the mc) Amano never ... found out that she was Nobe and Mono OR that she liked him it's all just left on a cliffhanger.

ART
The art was mediocre. some parts look kinda weird to be fair. And also in one episode, there is another missed opportunity in the scene where Aguri thinks Uehasu is cheating on her and so Uehasu, Hoshinomori, and Tendou chase Aguri down the street. the art and animation look jolly rather than suspenseful. comparing the school hallway chase scene in the second to the last episode of Toradora. there is a difference between the two and in my opinion, the Toradora scene looks a lot better Than the one in gamers!.

SOUND
I don't really have anything to say, the voice actors did a good job. The music was pretty good actually I have the songs on Spotify. But the music doesn't fit some of the scenes. For example in the scenes that could be dramatic and suspenseful, it does happy music not suspenseful or even sad music. And even with the happy scenes, it does slower and sadder sounding music.

CHARACTER
Okay, you're going to have to sit down for this one. The characters and their personalities suck.

Tendou Karen is portrayed as the school idol and is super popular but is kinda just mentioned in some select episodes and nothing else like for example in the first episode when Tendou walks up to Amano and tries to invite him into the video game club it's not mentioned (until a few episodes in) that Tendou turns down a lot of people wanting to start a relationship with her, what they could have done is... when she walks into the video game store it portrays that Amano has a crush on Tendou and has wanted to tell her about it many times but was always told that she turns people down a lot and so thinks that he's invisible to her but she talks to him and then awkwardness and hijinks ensue. Better right? 5/10

Amano could be in a harem anime and actually blend in. he's supposed to be an awkward, nerdy klutz and that's it. He annoys me a lot.3/10

Aguri is Uehara's girlfriend and she is supposed to be like kushieda Minori from Toradora y'know always on the bright side but still has emotions she's not a one-sided character, the writers tried to portray that but they didn't do a good job. In the scene where she does cry (I mean scene as in singular scene) the music and the way the scene is animated doesn't make it sound like she's running away and crying it makes look and sound like she's in a Tom and Jerry cartoon, I love Tom and Jerry but if you got Tom and Jerry background music and replaced it with the Toradora school hallway running scene's music it wouldn't fit, more so if you put Tom and Jerry music into the Toradora scene.

Uehara is just... boring. he had an interesting? backstory. basically, he used to be a geek and he "busted his ass" trying to become popular. that's all I have to say

Hoshinomori she's written pretty well actually in the words of Laurel and Hardy 'I have nothing to say"

OVERALL
This show is the Poster Child for just okay at best it's mediocre at its worst it's still mediocre. it's not good but it's not bad. I give it a 5/10 thank you for reading.

all the characters are really annoying!

I've already dropped one other anime so I tried my best to not drop this and I succeeded I watched every single episode of this crap.

... i'd have a better time staring t the wall waiting for the paint to dry while brushing my eyes with acid WHILE listening to people scratching chalkboards AND scratching a plate with a fork.1/10

it's nowhere near the WORST anime of all time (in my opinion) but it's pretty close.

it's absolutely horrible!
