There are a lot of animes that have taken this exact concept of a young reincarnated overpowered protagonist who builds an empire. While the entire genre is not great On average this show might just be the worst.
The complete lack of character development is astounding. There are so many characters that I don't know any of their names there's no emotional connection between any of them it's just a bunch of things that happen to some overpowered protagonist. He spends most of his time becoming even more overpowered as if that was necessary or interesting.

A solid anime. Perhaps cursed to be compared to the superior Apothecary Diaries The show is very good on its own.
Characters are good plot is good pacing is good. They mix in some reasonably decent plot twists there is just a hint of romance and some good character interactions. Overall this show is well above average. It involved avoidance using any cookie cutter characters and feels like it has some original things to offer. This is fantastic! finally an anime with no redeeming features whatsoever. I don't even remember the last time I gave an anime a 3.
The plot is a disjointed train wreck. The mostly forgettable girls from the first season are replaced by another batch of even more forgettable characters none of which get enough screen time to make any sense at all. this show is fine. it's cute, it's sweet, no Characters are particularly overpowered, it's a pretty solid anime.
The fact that they're stuck in a love triangle and will be for the foreseeable future is frustrating. The fact that both love interests were ready to kill her and use her was also not great. I get the new falling in love with a villain Trope but this is taking it a bit too far. My anime list sometimes punishes animes that have neurodivergent main characters. This show and school days seemed to come to mind both solid shows showcasing deeply deeply flawed main characters. Its hard to describe this enemy without it seeming to sound like trash aliens supernatural all mashed up and yet they seem to have put it together into a magical package. Cute anime for sure.
The silly And sometimes frustrating behaviours of the characters are somewhat realistic considering they're supposed to be in high school. I cared about all three main characters as well as some of the side characters which is a good accomplishment for sure. The main characters all have some personality flaws which is also helpful in making them realistic. I can recommend this show to you if you don't mind unresolved love triangles. The first season was kind of neat.
The second season definitely felt like it started to drag on. When I start wanting to use the fast forward button to get to the interesting part that's definitely a bad sign. No real plot twists no real character development no real emotional connection with anything. I love anime with deep unpredictable characters flawed characters realistic introduction plot twists and an unpredictable narrative. I don't really feel like this anime delivered any of that. I am not a slice of life show enjoyer. But the show was certainly a masterpiece. I’m surprised it doesn’t average at least 8.6 or 8.7.
I thought grave of the fireflies was also a masterpiece, but this show is better. Perhaps it took some of the problems and criticisms of grave of the fireflies and added a more grown-up more reasonable show together.
