The story isn't interesting, neither the characters.
There is no frightening things, no moral, nothing good to retain.
A really gore scene is weirdly the most interesting scene of the anime.
In fact the gore effect are good but sometimes not really well placed.
Then if you just want to watch an anime with good gore effect, go for it.

There will be spoil at the end of this review. Nevertheless I think that even if you didn't see this anime, you will still be able to see it.
The huge good point on this anime is it's art. The backgrounds, the foregrounds, the chara-designs, all are beautiful. Unfortunately, this is the ONLY one good point. The story is absolutely pathetic and obvious. Nearly all the characters have a personality or even if they have, it has absolutely no impact in the story. The actions scene are poor and the emotional scene are empty of feeling. And the worst (and that the reason of this note), A LOT ...

No spoil in this review. The review is the same for both seasons. But the notation differs on only 2 points.
The first season makes you discover a world where Ajin (immortal human) are maltreated by human. It's well done, not too long early, and understandable. At this moment, you can think that the moral of the story is that maltreating people only because they are different is bad (racism is bad, simple but true moral). A war is declared between Ajin and human. Exterminate people which don't like you isn't that much better than maltreating. Then you can think that you mustn't confuse with love, respect and ...

Blood C is a good anime. Nevertheless, this movie, sequel of the anime, is not good at all.
In fact, the story of the movie is good, and well continue the anime (even it isn't as much worked as the anime's story). But the fight are really less animated than the anime, the secondary characters are totally secondary, the gore effects are failed compare to the anime. However, this movie don't let you "wanted more". The studio just hasn't the money to create a whole second season, that's why you just feel that the job has been rushed : 12 episodes compressed in one movie. The movie could ...

In most of horror anime, the gore effects are completely useless for the story. They are there only for fan services, as same as boobs in ecchi.
In this anime, you can see the evolution, always more and more gore, it is the road to the madness (not a spoil, you'll find it obvious in watching the anime). It is really well illustrated and it makes the anime reaches its apogee at the end (of the season). The anime is +18, free to you to know if you enough strong to look at (you should really be at least 16 years old), the gore effects are well ...

Most of OVA are only true fan service without thinking about the coherence of the story : showing boobs or fight we want to see and the job is done.
In this OVA, each moment is well constructed and used until the end for a global comprehension. This OVA is enough good for wanting to watch it again. The only pseudo-negativ point is the obligation to see the anime to understand why this OVA is well done. Especially when the story after is always the same : the boy or the girl (or both) fall in love, other girls arrive, and the harem begin. It's not original and boring when you always see the same kind of anime.
