It is not a bad anime, but not entirely good either.
The premisse is very interesting, a detective agency that focuses on solving special drugs related cases, and a it follows a rookie cop that joins this agency and is paired with an experienced detective to learn the ropes. Also, it is tagget here as 17+ and "adult themed". So yeah, it got my attention, even though it has CGI blended with 2D and the cast is overly colorfull for a 17+ adul themed anime...
The story starts very good, the humour blends well with the action scenes, the contrast between characters are nicely done, the rookie
...
cop been that naive, young adult who has a big dream and hopes to achieve it by joining the detectives and the expert detective, very talented, just trying to do his job. It is a nice combo. But it starts and ends there, they don't evolve in their relationship nor in their psyches along the series, they stay the same, an it is unfortunate, since the anime constantly hints at their relationship deepening, which, doesn't happen, at least I couldn't see it happening. Plot wise, it feels like it is moving forwards to something, until it just looses track of whatever goal it was aiming, to then suddenly resume going towards that goal in a disorganized, out of pace and lacking way.
Even so, the comedy did get to me, I laughed quite a bit and those moments of contrast from the detectives were very good.
Well, tough recommendation, but I'd say to watch it if you don't have a huge backlog to attend to or something else that caught your attention

When I think of a solid fantasy anime, this anime often comes to mind. While the plot has some issues, specially in the anime, where much that happens is not covered properly or outright not explained (I'm looking at you, Valacirca fight...) it is a very good take on fantasy and isekai genre, with some well put Tolkien references.
Yes, it is Isekai, but no, it doesn't revolve around MC's constantly remember his life prior to his reincarnation. The story itself understands that the MC was something in his past life that he is not very proud, then he uses that feeling as fuel to become

a better person and that is pretty much it. Like many other Isekai titles where MC is outright OP due to retaining memories and mentality of someone older from previous life, it felt that in Saihate no Paladin, he used that maturity to overcome issues and to learn about the world he now lives in, nevertheless he is pretty damn strong, more than average for sure.
Overall, story progression felt good, all characters seemed to have purpose and were well written, the artstyle was very nice (though in manga is way better) and definetely recommend it, specially for Tolkien and Fantasy fans.

Not sure why so much negative reviews, but the show isn't bad, sure, it is no masterpiece, and that might be the point, people that comes to the show expecting a refined plot may be disappointed.
It is a simple premise, a young girl arriving on mars on a secret mission, from there, the viewer will learn more about the world the girl live, her mission and her. While it starts off pretty mysterious, about half way the anime most of the missing plot can be de deducted, which is not enterily bad, nor it is good :) . It aimed at an adult audience, but
...
delivered a more easily digested and not so harsh storyline, even though the world that houses our cast seems to be very hostile.
Visually it is quite good, most of the time the frames are consistent and the battles are nice, I like the whole armor theme too, for some reason I kept thinking about Lies of P throught the show :P
OST is good, nothing noteworthy here, except that piano track that plays all the time lol, some might find it annoying
The show could have been better? Definitely, but that is true for almost all TV shows.
But, is it worth watching? It is. It isn't a long show, it is very easy to follow the story and even though is not that deep of a plot, it does bring some good reflections now and then.
