The anime could’ve been a solid fantasy series. The time-rewind trope always carries promise: a protagonist gets a second shot at life, learning from their past mistakes. But instead of focusing on clever plot twists or character growth, the story shoots itself in the foot by making weird romance its main trope.

The core issue is the relationship between Jill, the 10-year-old protagonist, and Rave, the 19-year-old male lead. The romantic undertones between them aren’t just weird—they’re deeply unsettling. Dialogue like “It would’ve been better if you were 2-3 years younger” raises red flags immediately. Why in the world would a grown man wish for ... someone even younger than 10? It doesn’t stop there, either. Rave openly calls Jill his “ideal” and constantly tries to coax romantic feelings out of her, despite her being a literal child.
The weird romance overshadows everything else, which is a shame because the premise had potential.

It’s not just the dialogue, it’s the way their interactions are framed. The scenes where they cuddle or share private moments come off as outright abnormal and crazy given the size difference that is portrayed in the anime. The narrative tries to pass this off as romantic, but genuinely it makes my stomach turn. Trying to normalize this given a fantasy world really questions the author's intentions.

The show had so many ways to avoid this weirdness. A simple time skip or even aging up the characters could’ve solved everything. Instead, the story doubles down on this dynamic, and it’s impossible to ignore.

Even without the unsettling romance, the rest of the show isn’t particularly good. The pacing is just bad and the characters lack depth. The villains feel unserious at times.

Although the art and sound design are good, wouldn't recommend watching this anime. Not worth it.

I definitely understand that the story wasn't the best and the pacing was a bit off, but man the gore and characters especially alucard , the MC carried the show for me. With all the soft isekai anime with trash MCs, this has to be one of the best representations of an overpowered character.

DESIGN (9.5/10) :
The soundtrack and the animation were also really well depicted, definitely a masterpiece for all of eternity and my favorite anime of all time.
CHARACTERS (10/10):
As mentioned before, the best aspects of the anime are the characters, although they can be melodramatic at times, their personality was displayed so well. ... In the midst of gore and chaos, the MC suits the story and fits in really well with the theme of the anime.
ART (9/10):
The animation works on Alucard's pistols and his dead knight army was immaculate. The scenes involving blood were also insanely well animated for their time.

If you don't like blood and are looking for a god tier storyline, this isn't the anime for you. But, if you like gore and a solid MC who can carry the show, I would highly recommend watching the show.

Okay so after completing the 43 episodes I had a lot of mixed feelings, the first 23 episodes were absolute gold nearly 10/10, after the 23rd episode it felt like there were many fillers and the story took a really bad turn.
As for character development, Onizuka had relatively the same mentality and personality which, was entertaining to watch in the starting. I get he is not the brightest tool in the shed but, him just doing dumb random shit and it somehow working out in the end just felt repetitive and ridiculous, especially towards the end of the anime. The perverted/sex maniac side of him ... got really annoying towards the end, it felt like they were cranked to the max in the following episodes which just made it nearly unbearable to watch. For any average person, the humor and the concepts in the anime would've been very weird, having watched even more bizarre shows, I can understand that the anime was from a different era where these jokes were considered standard humor.

ART (9/10):
Since the anime was made in the 1990 and start of 2000's it has great animation for its time. It brought back a lot of nostalgia, overall the sound and design were also great.

MUSIC (10/10):
The music from that era was really something else. Just the music alone would make this anime a 7/10 disregarding all the other components.

Story (4/10):
Could've been better, took a bad turn towards the end.

The only bit of character development for Onizuka was, him thinking he is a bad teacher to - him actually building confidence in himself. Finally, the first 23 episodes make it absolute gold hence, the rating of 7/10.
