This is a really strange and sometimes frustrating manga. The beginning is very good and sets up genuinely interesting philosophical questions and an intriguing main character who simply just wants to live a normal life. The ending is also pretty interesting as it takes a melancholy/depressing tone. This series really could've been something special if the concepts were fleshed out more. I felt that the entire middle part of the manga was done terribly and did not really contribute much to the story. Despite only being 43 chapters, some parts felt like a slog to read.
