As someone who has been following this series for 9 years, I have got to say I am overwhelmed with emotions. The first two seasons set the bar so high for this series that there can be nothing but high expectations. Let me tell you all that I believe that this season was able to show what Sound! Euphonium was meant to mean as a series. I think the criticism about the transfer student storyline may be too harsh in regards to how it might "mess up" or even "ruin" the season. If anything, the transfer student storyline was able to bring out more character

development for the characters namely Kumiko, our main character. If you were able to see the little details of the previous movie to this season and even the series as a whole, the whole transfer student storyline shouldn't come off as a shock. I ask new viewers to take this portion as not something to fight with but something to embrace in all of its uncomfortableness haha.
I thought Kumiko couldn't have any more character development after the first two seasons and the movies but boy was I wrong since this season came out. I don't think I have ever cried so much seeing Kumiko grow and navigate through the season of her duties as the president but also seeing her thoughtfully decide what she wants to do after high school was so heartwarming. But this was also gut-wrenching as that was probably one of the most relatable things we all do when we try to decide what we want after we graduate and we have to decide what to give up and what to pursue. It felt so personal to me as I like many decided to go through a different route than music performance. While my favorite character may be Reina, I think realistically I am Kumiko and I think this season just screamed at me that she was me and I was her. So many parallels between her and me with the best direction without compromising the story and theme, I salute Kyoani and the OG author Ayano Takeda for creating Kumiko and her friends.
I think the fact that this deviates from the original source gave this season (or actually throughout the series lol) such a well-rounded ending that it would make sense because of the changes Kyoani made. The acknowledgment of not only the past seasons but also the other movies even Liz and the Bluebird was quite Kyoani at its finest. It was also nice to see that the author Takeda was on board with the change as well.
Compared to past seasons and movies leading up to this season, I do not think I have cried so much for a season. I wonder if it was because I knew that this was coming to an end or if I was able to relate so much to the characters at that time. I am not sure but the emotions I have felt for this season were a roller coaster, to say the least lol.
The music! Oh my goodness the heart of the series! The soundtrack is amazing, just like the previous seasons it is so good. I respect Kyoani in this department because, since the very beginning, they have held the standard so high and consistent. I still have yet to get into another anime because of the music, this series has spoiled me so much in this regard that I find it hard to get into any other music anime. Perhaps my only problem for this season in this part was that I wished they showed more performances with the band. We don’t get to see much until the very end. Perhaps the character development of the characters was more important which I agree with, but I wish there was more.
The artwork and animation is god level. I’m sorry but Kyoani went off this season and I have no other words besides I was in awe the whole time.
I always wondered to myself why I always came back to this series, and why I was so drawn to this story of Kumiko. It wasn’t until I came across the Youtuber UnderTheScopeAnime about why Sound! Euphonium is their favorite anime and I finally found my answer. I highly suggest those who are fans of this series to check them out as it helped me formulate into words why this is my favorite anime series of all time. I do not need flashy fight animations, I do not need a million character deaths to see character development, I don’t need much. I just want an anime that was real, dealt with real emotions, real relationships, and most importantly real expectations in life. And Kyoani did not disappoint at all in regards to this throughout the series. Kyoani has been so consistent in what they wanted to deliver to the audience and stayed true to what this series was meant to be. I was able to relate so much to a community and the world-building Kyoani created for this series.
I have had the privilege to be alive when this series has begun and finished and I wouldn’t want it any other way. I do not think I’ll be able to find another anime series that can warm and heal my heart as this series has done for me. I have been able to watch the past seasons and movies so many times and I still get goosebumps and my heart races with anticipation every time. I hope when I am ready I can do that with this last season as well.
I hope this review finds you well and maybe you will love and cherish this series as much as I do too.
And so the next piece is fin. ;)

What an amazing tease and set up for the 3rd season. Please watch the HIBIKE! EUPHONIUM MOVIE 3: CHIKAI NO FINALE movie before starting this one as it has characters that you might not be familiar with since this is still about Kumiko's 2nd year.
I am pleased with the pacing as it felt just right and the continued character growth for Kumiko is just chef's kiss. The pacing from the last movie felt a bit off and rigid, but this had a much more fluid and familiar flow from the first 2 seasons with the storyline and it felt like a warm welcome to ... It's my first time writing a review on here so I hope you can bear with me as I write about my thoughts on this anime lol. To start off, I enjoyed every episode and I found myself looking forward to Saturdays because of this anime. Lycoris Recoil may just seem on the surface about high school-age girls with guns and if you get far enough into the story, protecting the image of "safe Tokyo" and clashing ideals. But through its bright colors and animation, we meet our characters and their respective developments. We learn their stories and how we came to that point at
