It was... Fine.
There were neat concepts, but not so much execution. I will assume, the reader was a previous RWBY fan like I was upon reviewing this.
Story - 3/10
There were neat concepts, the idea that there are specialized Grimm Hunters is a neat idea, especially when there are specific functions to combat against them. And the idea of exploring one of the main character's innermost problems is a neat idea, Weiss has a lot to unpack and there could be a lot to explore in terms of her character and story since Weiss is one of the characters who has a lot to unwound
...
from the very beginning.
Unfortunately the dreamscape relies on a lot on symbolism, which occasionally leads to very jarring moments, and to be honest, kind of narrows the audience to only people who have previously watched RWBY to possibly catch them.
Pyrrha for example, there's a scene where she sings Weiss's signature Mirror Mirror song. Which honestly, was... Why? Someone could argue it's because Weiss sees a fragment of herself in Pyrrha because they have the loneliness of fame and being on top and being known or whatnot. However the scene comes a bit out of left field and like, quite literally out of nowhere it's a little jarring with nothing to add. I mean it was nice.
The story is generally pretty straightforward. There's no plot twist or something to invest in besides already liking Weiss and ~friendship~. And quite frankly, Weiss starts off generally pretty unlikeable for the most part, especially for people who are introduced to her like this.
Art - 6/10
Pretty alright actually. The fight scenes are dynamic and fun, but you can definitely tell sometimes that the budget went to those and like super disappeared at the end. There's not much to look at outside of those though.
Voice acting (Dub) - 3/10
The voice acting is... Noticeably in need of help. Weiss and Blake are the biggest offenders, which is bad because Weiss is one of the characters if not the character to take up the most screen time in this show. Blake is fine, until the very end.
Characters - 4/10
Ruby is probably the most established and well invested in this besides Weiss, everyone else doesn't have enough time or spotlight for anything major to happen to be quite honest.
Overall it's... Alright. If not a little disappointing. Has neat concepts, but nothing outstanding outside of little bits of animation. Someone might like it out there.

To be honest, the premise is very charming and even cute in my opinion! In fact, it was obviously the whole reason I wanted to check it out because I thought it would be in fact, very cute. And it was! ... Until episode 8. But no spoilers, let's get to the review yes?
Story - 5/10
Now if I was only rating the first half of the story? It would easily be a 8 or 9 out of 10. It essentially features the daily slice of lives of this dysfunctional family, how hard it is to adjust as being literal result of science projects and cute
...
family bonding. I absolutely loved the premise and how they pull it off, it has some problems or clichés (like the obvious shoved in crush character for the main char, etc etc), but they're very easy to ignore for the pure fluff and sweetness of it.
It goes downhill around... Episode 8 or 9 and, that was the whole reason my score knocks down so badly. I won't spoil if you want to watch yourself, which I do still recommend, but the drama that happens is, in my honest opinion, pretty bad and could've been easily fixed and the execution was frustratingly poor.
Art - 5/10
It's nothing astounding, the artstyle is cute! But, that's all it is. It's pretty cute, there's not a whole lot to it.
Character - 7/10
I actually think each characters are charming! They have distinct key little personality traits to distinguish them from another. Like the hot-blooded, reckless sister, the optimistic kid main character brother, the airheaded happy sister, so on and so forth. It shows despite all their differences, they are all still family. It goes shit-show and out of character like by the end of the story though so, take that with a grain of salt.
Sound - 5/10
Pretty generic, gets the music across I guess but nothing memorable in my opinion.
Enjoyment - 6/10
Loved it at first. I still think it's worth giving a go! It's kind of a hidden little gem. Not perfect but you can definitely find some cute enjoyment out of it and it has it's own charms to it.
Overall - 6/10
Cute and charming, definitely not amazing, but still worth giving a shot!

I have to admit, I was expecting a My Hero Academia Walmart brand knock off going into this. In all honestly, aside the premises of a super powered humans, it averted many of my expectations. It's VERY good, and I highly recommend it. I was thoroughly shocked to see that it's rating is so low!
Story: 9/10
First of all, it has it's wham lines and shots, LOTS of it but it's coherent and linear that you're blown away but it's not out of left field. I absolutely loved the first episode, it really sets the scene and I really recommend it! I want to see
...
what happens, I want to see how main character develops and where it's going with this.
If you especially like Danganronpa series, I would highly recommend this series to you.
Art: 6/10
I have to admit the art's not exactly the most stellar thing in the world. It's pretty generic, but it does the job well enough. The expressions, the designs, the backgrounds are all just enough to set the scene and translate what's happening. It's essentially 'oh that's nice art!' and that's really it, there's nothing very outwardly amazing about it. However if you're looking for some gorgeous studio ghibli or clannad stunning work, this really isn't it.
Character: 7/10
Stunning, I VERY much love the character set up for the protagonist and the tension set up they set up between them. If you like the set up of characters trying to outfoxing each other, THIS has it. I want to see the friendships form in this series and how the develop from each other. I'm not quite sure why, but many people seem to dislike the main character but I actually think the main protagonist is a very interesting person and I want to see the development happen as friendships and revelations are shown.
However, I have to admit side characters aren't used as much, while they have a big cast, only the main characters get the shine and interesting development and the rest aren't very much invested and I wish they used them a little more, and most of the rest simply get a 'one episode wonder' and fall to the wayside otherwise. Their use of side characters are simply plot and they're not interesting otherwise.
I have to admit, as a **warning, and a spoiler! Skip this if you don't want this! But I find it is important to note.** Characters do die in this series. And I have to admit I'm not fond of some of the few choices that they made on who died, but at the same time I can see the reason why. It's just one of the story decisions I don't agree with I suppose.
Enjoyment: 10/10
Oh I thoroughly enjoyed this series very much, the twists and relations between crucial characters, the plot, the curiosity of how it'll all be solved... It's VERY entertaining but admittingly a bit mind boggling sometimes. And just wondering 'I wonder how they'll pull it off this time?' It's just constant curiosity.
Overall: 9/10
I like it! Please watch or read it, it's good! I like it a lot.
