I really tried to understand Solo Leveling and its popularity, I really did. But I just couldn’t. Maybe I’ve outgrown the phase of getting excited over Dark Sasuke characters with deep, overly badass voices.
The first two episodes of season one were actually great. I was ready to dive into what seemed like a fascinating universe. But then? The same repetitive formula kicks in: our protagonist becomes ridiculously overpowered with random bonuses pulled out of nowhere, instantly kills his enemies with a snap of his fingers, and the cycle repeats. Fine, I thought maybe this was just the introduction.
But season two? More of the same. The

"Solo Leveling" is the epitome of fast-food anime. I haven't read the manhwa, so my opinion is based on this first season only. SL is a superficial work. The story becomes incredibly repetitive after the introduction, just looping over and over. All the characters introduced are empty shells, useless, uninteresting, and completely lacking charisma. Jinwoo, the main character, is unbearably boring, driven only by the plot.
If there's one positive thing I can mention, it's that some of the bosses are pretty cool with their OSTs, but that's about it. The animation is decent but not amazing. If you don't care about the plot or characters ... Apr 21, 2024

'Tying the Knot with an Amagami Sister' might seem like a generic harem on the surface, with its fairly typical jokes found in other works of its kind, but it gradually becomes a quite enjoyable piece thanks to the attachment to the characters and how much more we discover about them, sometimes in surprising ways. Yes, this manga has its share of supernatural elements, which add to its charm and set it apart, something that previous reviews based on just three chapters obviously won't grasp.
Let's get back to the point; the artwork is splendid, whether it's our Amagami sisters or the landscapes and backgrounds, it ... Mar 22, 2024

It was quite enjoyable to watch. The animations are enough to make me want to appreciate these action-packed moments; it's undeniably cool to watch. The universe is nice, albeit somewhat cliché, although that's not really a problem...
...Except when it's way too much, to the extent that you truly feel a lack of personality during certain episodes. The four main characters are exactly the same as Naruto. Speaking of characters, few are endearing; giving us 2 minutes of background (which are also clichéd to the extreme) isn't enough for me to appreciate their stories. Sukuna is probably the only slightly interesting one; otherwise, they're very flat. ... |
