both had basic idea of form theory, some part in each other, such as how perspective may shape matters. Both of them had long bout philosophical theory of how everything occurs. Interesting stuff to say.

For Fort of Apocalypse, it's zombie with madness, coming from reform school aka jail packing with zombie full of boys. For Gakkougurashi! it's real school packing with zombie, but had more slice of life and some heartwarming event full of girls. Both had their own type of Story, though basically it is boys/girls meet zombie.

...then you might like Asamiya-san no Imouto add

Plot from them is equally interesting, though in Kieli, there is a bit romance underlying in it, and different purpose for the goal.

had the same problem, though Gakkougurashi! had lot more plot, art, and more enjoyable for long ride, as it is still ongoing while i am made this recommendation.

Both of them offer an exquisite type of world, and how they interact inside it, with unexpected result of choices for both of them. For Kino is travel, Ginko is mushi.
