Good quick read, which are usually my favorite anyway. Manage to make me cry in that time, so good job! Very good premise to fit into 5 chapters! Seems simple and cliche but it worked! Pacing was really good and information was given to the audience in a way that impacted the reader best. I won't lie, it hurts that I won't get to see how the rest of these characters lives will continue, but ending a story is pretty tricky, and sometimes a definitive bittersweet ending is preferred over a drawn out investment. It's more so about the journey and such.
The main cast felt

real, except for Satou, who took a little more time to flesh out from being the cool transfer student. But because of that timeline, it had more impact when we finally learned who he really was, and how his experience living with Rinko was actually deeper than we initially perceived.
I'll be honest, the opening was rather blasé with Rinko being your typical bad luck protag, but that bit was brief thankfully. She stops feeling like a ditsy girl and just a clumsy yet sardonic(?) one. She's a bit tsundere, but it's not overpowering or off putting tbh. She reminds me a bit of someone I grew up with, so that might be why she was able to grow on me.
It's a nice little coming of age with a group of friends with conflicting feelings. I wish they had a translated volume in English I could buy, but until then, I'll be buying Japanese copy to keep in my collection.
