Last 5-10 mins of the last episode ruined it.
The ending completely ruins season 2 part 2 for me personally-- (I'm sure season 3 will come eventually--however)---Spoilers Ahead.
First some positives:
I loved season 2 up until the very ending
--I really enjoyed the new characters they introduced that help fill the void of characters in season 1 whos stories had finished. The character growth and the poignant storytelling was on point and I also enjoyed how they moved on to focusing on other characters and not just about Subaru. Some people didn't like the pacing, and I'll admit, I looked at my phone a couple times

out of boredom, but overall I didn't mind--I thought it was necessary to get the story points across. Overall I enjoyed Season 2 and part 2
Next is the negative:
What I hated in the LAST EPISODE and how they treated Rem. COMPLETELY ruined what would've been a 8-9 rated season. One of the best characters wasn't even given a second thought or even MENTIONED...they turned it into Weekend at Bernie's (you may have to look that reference up) dressing her up and parading her around the ball room like everything was ok while she's just a lifeless husk. Getting Rem back to normal was a HUGE motivation for the MC initially and by the end it's like he COMPLETELY forgot about that. What happened to him having equal love for both Emilia and Rem---Rem was super important to him..or at least we were lead to believe initially. I guess viewers are just supposed to be satisfied she doesn't get sliced up? I was just totally put off by that ending sequence---they worked so hard to make sure she was safe---but then they make no mention of her condition or what they plan to do about it after.--Maybe there is something in the manga? I hear that many things are in the manga that are left out of the anime which causes it to feel disjointed at times. Nonetheless with all the material to go off from and the popularity of the show, I'm looking forward to season 3 and hopefully getting some resolution.
