Shingeki no Kyojin
(Anime)
add
My first impression of this anime was....wow.... giant, naked, man-eating, people....i don't want to watch that, its horrifying. IT IS HORRIFYING, but thats what makes this anime so hard to stop watching once you've started watching. EVERY SINGLE EPISODE ENDS ON A CLIFF HANGER! Every episode twisted my stomach into knots, as I held on to the hope that maybe my favorite characters wouldn't die this episode. Honestly I don't count this anime as one of my favorites based on a personal bias, there is a pretty considerable amount of gore and profanity. This isn't to say the producers threw this in just to make

Clannad: After Story
(Anime)
add
Clannad is an all around AMAZING anime. When I first began this series, I wasn't really sure if I liked it or not, the beginning was a bit slow for me and a little confusing, but the humor kept me watching. By the end of the afterstory, I realized what may have seemed like a slow start, was a gradual but strong attatchment to these characters in preparation for the afterstory. I can absolutely garentee you, that by the end of this anime you will be choking back tears if not bawling your eyes out. This is by far the best drama/romance i've ever seen

Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica

Someone asked me the other day what my favorite anime was, I really couldn't answer right away because i have lots of favorites, but THIS anime was the first to come to mind. Ideally, i prefer comedies (which is something this anime does not offer), and i definitely DO NOT like magical girl series, but this anime entirely BLEW MY MIND. To start off, the artwork is what originally drew me into this anime. All the artwork is unique, soft and nice for a futuristic-like setting, but then..... something amazing happened.... A REALM OF ABSTRACT CREEPY-NESS ENTERS THE STAGE!!! Holy crap, there are just no

Olympos is a very interesting manga, the best word to describe it is "original". Being only 2 volumes long, it really doesn't leave a whole lot of room for the development of characters and story, but i had a hard time putting it down none the less. I'm not a big fan of mythology, but this certainly took an interesting viewpoint on the matter. If nothing else this manga should be credited for its absolutely beautiful artwork and characters. At first, i was positive that both Ganymede and Apollo were of the female persuasion....when their gender was clarified, i decided they could be equally

Ouran Koukou Host Club
(Anime)
add
I don't believe i've ever seen an anime that anyone can laugh at more than OHSHC. Not only is it ridiculously funny, but the art and voice actors are really great as well. In fact, it's one of those extremely rare occasions where i can say the anime art is even better than the actual manga art (granted the manga is also fantastic, don't be hate'n on Hatori). The characters are unique and every episode is elegantly bizarre. Definitely one of the absolute best animes to watch with friends if you can get past a large number of mild (?) bisexual references (nothing terrible, you can't

Tsubasa Chronicle
(Anime)
add
i'm going to be blunt, as an anime, Tsubasa made me want to cry, and i tell you they were certainly not tears of joy. I am a die hard fan of the manga. it has all the elements of a fantastic series; great characters, interesting plot twists and hey they even travel to different worlds, what's not to like? The anime just butchered everything. Let's put it this way, if you were a die hard fan of the Lord of the Rings series, and then all the sudden the movie came out and Ganondorf was a freakin' fairy princess would you cry then? I
