I don't have any nostalgia feelings for this series because I've just finished the old anime quite recently and it became one of my favorite anime instantly and Anne becomes one of my favorite character.

Comparing this new adaptation to the old anime, I found this adaptation is too fast-paced it's missing the charm and beauty of the old show. Anne is just a generic anime girl in the new one. In the old anime, Anne character is described perfectly as a special and strong-willed character in every moments from her interactions with her surroundings and the other characters. Every moments just feel special and beautiful ... in the old one compared to the new anime. The new soundtracks also aren't as beautiful as the old ones, the old ones are comparable to those old disney movie soundtracks. They fit perfectly with the ghibli style arts.

If you want to watch an anime adaptation of Anne, don't waste your time watching this new adaptation and just go straight watch the old one. I'm sure you would love the beautiful old adaptation of Anne's story more.
