At this point of time this anime didn't ended up yet so I am just the reviewing the first 92 episodes from this anime.
Pros:
- story takes place in all of regions that we got to see so far in Pokemon Anime,
- new style of pokemon battles ranking system,
- small story arcs can be really interesting
- showcasing mega evolution, gigantomax, and z moves in one anime season,
- the pokemon battles are really nicely done,
- Ash team is really well balanced,
- showcasing different characters goals

... Cons:
- dual protagonist story formula,
- Goh character can be really inconsistent,
- Chloe (Koharu) development so far,
- Team Rocket Gacha machine,
- some anime director decisions regarding the plot,
- story takes place mostly in Kanto region,

Overoll I am really mixed about this pokemon anime generation, because the plot bounces for me beetween Advance quality of storry telling to best wishes. It's like a sine wave it one moment the story it's good but in another it's just Best Wishes standards. One of key elements that downplay this series is unreal Goh 100% catching Pokemon luck, this problem started to show it's self around epsiode 20, and the it gor worce as the time go on. Now for his personal goal it's kinda interesting, but the character execution in anime feels more force and robotic rather than as a natural progression. It's like a read the attendance list during an English lesson and the Pokemon he catches are type as present in the class. This is why some fans don't like this character at all, but it still has the chance to change.
When it comes to Ash his character still continues to grow after the well done prevous Sun Moon anime generation, with a really balanced Pokemon team, however some parts of hi training are cut from anime du to dual protagonist story formula. Lastly for Chloe (Koharu) really need more character development, because so far she really is shifted as a side character in this generation, aniem writers have a lot of potential here. Now when it comes to all reagions showcase Johto, and Galar had very little showcase in the main storyline. Galar is even the main region where the games Pokemon Sword and Shield takes place so it's even worst here. So far anime focuses solely on Kanto first, and the on other regions.

PS. Right now anime is in weird position where it can be rated as one of the less fan favorable, or one of the best which depends on future choices of anime creators. We can only hope that they have learned the lessons from Ash loses in every Pokemon League prior to Sun Moon anime so they won't repeat them again, and Goh character needs some catching pokemon nerf, and some expansion like usage of a different Poke Balls. Chloe (Koharu) needs some serious character development like catching more fairy type Pokemon (her Eevee doesn't need to evolved), deciding on her goal, and more screen time in anime.

Pros:
- anime finnaly showcases Team Pllasma storyline,
- N character finnaly shows up in the story of this anime generation
- there are few ineteresting battles,
- some old pokemon return to the main cast,

Cons:
- Team Plasma storyline it's too short, and feels underdeveloped,
- N shows up after 111 episodes in Best Wishes anime,
- the storyline doesn't feel any natural progresion

Overoll anime writers have waited far too long with the introduction of Team Plasma in Best Wishes (Generation 5 Pokemon anime), which feels kinda unrewarding for anime fans. When it comes to games the plot with Team Plasma is considered one of the best in Pokemon game. Their motivations, reasons, and build up in Pokemon Black/White, and sequels games, is really well done. It's unfortunate that anime writers didn't felt like adopting an interesting key story elements from the games. This is probably one of the main reasons why this generation feel somewhat unfulfilled.

Pros:
- some gym battles,
- artstyle,
- some episodes focusing on side characters can be interesting,

Cons:
- team rocket doesn't have any meaningfull story development,
- Ash trainer skills are the same as in the very first season back in 1997,
- lack of team plasma storyline,
- it feels more like a filler

Overall the anime writers lost their creativity and innovation, and good ideas from the first part of season 1. This is part of the reason why some fans consider this one of most weakest Pokemon anime generation.

Pros:

- Team Rocket storyline at the begining of Season 1
- artstyle sometimes is good
- somewhat Iris character have some good development

Cons:
- Team Rocket starting from mid season 1
- Ash had a hudge nerf at the begining,
- game story adaptation into anime,

- Ash doesn't win neither Unova League,
- A lot of battles are ridiculous,
- Team Rocket appearance get's to annoying from mid season 1,
- The story development is being held up by corporations policy it's a tradition

Overall it's one of the most weakest Pokemon generations, the characters have little development. Ash character has suffered really the most in this pokemon generation. I am not sure why did anime writers shifted from really interesting plot, to just a shell of its former self.

Pros:
- Ash wins the Regional Aloa Pokemon League,
- Ash got a few mythical pokemon,
- relaxing formula,
- much more expanded main cast,

Cons:
- none for me, but If I were to find one reason then maybe the story somewhat was lacking the dark moments present in games.

It took about more then 20 years for Ash to win Regional Pokemon League.
... Thanks to fans rally up on social media corporations policy of Ash losing tradition was finally broken. Ash losing each time the Pokemon League was one of most annoying things that happened in in all of previous generations.
Some might find the new artstyle and anime formula little anoying, but for me it's alright. Up to this day this is the best Pokemon anime generation.

Pros:
- They have learned a lot since tragic Best wishes anime series,
- showcasing first ever full romance story in pokemon anime,
- the artstyle is the best in Pokemon anime,
- Ash get's an exclusive pokemon form,
- character development,
- mega evolutions,
- really good cast of main characters,
- pokemon fans really like Serena,

... Cons:
- Ash don't win Kalos League,
- Some battles are not well done,
- Team Rocket appearance annoying is a tradition that cannot be broken at this point,
- The story development is being held up by corporations policy tradition,

Overoll I recommend watch this anime without putting the hopes for the regional League, because as always Ash will lose. But the rest of the anime storyline is one of the best in historii.

I must say the begining of season 1 was interesting but after certain point it becames boring and it downgrades in quality. The cast shifts now to 6 permanent members. It's really hard to find anything positive in this generation.

Pros:
- Pokemon anime took everything best and put it up to the next level in this anime,
- Ash got really good Rival in this generation,
- The new characters in the main cast develpment,
- Gym, and final rival battles.

Cons:
- Ash don't win Sinnoh League,
- Some battles are ridiculous,
- Team Rocket appearance annoyance is at it's top,

- the final battle with Tobias is the biggest mistake in this generation, guy is literally using cheats to get mythical/legendary Pokemon, and then beat Ash with just 2 Pokemon
Overoll this generation is one of the best on in this franchise were we can see really good storytelling (for Pokemon anime standards), and character development.
They might have missed the opportunity were Ash not only started to pursue getting gym badges but also contest ribbons.
However big letdown in this series is a final Sinnoh League battle with Tobias, guy was solely introduce to stop him from getting a chance to advance further.
I am still wondering who was the genius that felt it was right to create an artificial character without any backstory with the sole purpose to stop Ash from advancing, and getting Generation 5 rolling.

Pros:
- 95% of this anime is really interesting,
- character development is enjoyable,
- this generation we got 2 more characters,
- we got 2 new evil teams,
- the game story adaptation is acceptable
- the best part of this generation are Battle Frontier fights,
- introduction of pokemon contests,

Cons:
... - The remaining 5% Ash doesn't win Hoen League,
- Some battles are ridiculous,
- Team Rocket appearance can get more annoying,

- some fans dislike Max character in this generation,

The story takes now in both regions Hoen and Kanto, however best part in my opinin was Battle Frontier arc. The cast shifts to permanent 7 characters in this generation.

Pros:
- The show that change the history of our planet,
- 90% of the show it's really interesting and innovative,
- It pushed the anime into mainstream media,
- Simple story design and goals,
- It shaped the generation,
- some of character development can be really interesting.

Cons:
- The remaining 10% Ash don't win neither Kanto, or Johto League,
... - Some battles are ridiculous,
- Team Rocket appearance can get annoying quickly,
- The story development is being held up by corporations policy,

Overoll I would recomend watch the anime 90% of anime,but with the knowledge that Ash will unfortunately lost in the Regional League, so don't give up your hopes too high on this one.
