This is my very first review, so it might come across as a bit amateurish. But I loved this manga so much that I’ll try my best.
This one has so much potential. Imagine Fate/Stay Night, but set in a World War II setting and even more brutal—holy...
At first, the plot didn’t seem that interesting, but as the chapters went on, it flowed perfectly. The atmosphere is spot-on too. The main character isn’t bad either, and the dynamic between him and Tsukumo is really intriguing.
The art in this spin-off is absolutely dazzling. It’s so goddamn good, especially the panels where Nobunaga shows up.
The strong point is,
...
the characters. And you know which characters I’m talking about.
First off, there’s Okita. She’s the perfect embodiment of “cute and deadly.” She’s intimidating, cold, yet adorable and beautiful at the same time.. a truly likeable character. And then there’s Nobunaga, my favourite. SHE IS SO GODDAMN COOL, I CAN’T... every time she appeared, it felt like I got an adrenaline rush. She’s just that hype. She’s insane, but not arrogant like Gil.
The other Servants are great too, though there aren’t enough chapters yet to dive deep into them. Especially Assassin seems to have a lot of potential. Berserker, Lancer, and Rider are all really cool as well. The villain is kind of “meh,” but it was obvious from the start that he was a minor antagonist.
To sum it up: with 21 chapters so far, this series looks incredibly promising. I believe it has the potential to become one of the best Fate spin-offs.
Overall, I’d give it a 9.5/10—only because there aren’t enough chapters yet for me to confidently say it’s a 10/10.
