Mairimashita! Iruma-kun

The main characters both have to hide their true race identity. In Ao no exorcist, Rin has to hide the fact that he is half-demon (son of satan) while being part of an exorcist community, while in Mairimashita! Iruma-kun, Iruma has to hide the fact that he is human in a world of demon. Nonetheless, both has this school/demon/action/comedy vibe and are very pleasant to watch to relax and distract yourself! Definitely recommend both!!

Although the animation, plot, and characters are very different, they give off the same vibe. As I was watching Kokkoku, I started thinking of Ajin as soon as I saw the creatures summoned in the world of Stasis.

Enen no Shouboutai

They aren't the most similar anime, but they have some similarities. I can't help but remember Boku no Hero Academia as the MC of Enen no Shouboutai constantly repeats his desire to become a hero. Also, they are both packed with action and some sort of superpower!

Banana Fish

In terms of context, both have something to do with human experimentation although using different techniques. The main character of each show (Canaan & Ash) are both overpowered and really good at uh what they do. The other main characters who form a strong bond with the OP people are Maria who is accompanied by Minoru, just like Eiji who is accompanied by Ibe. All four of them are photographers from Japan going to a foreign country to try to capture something interesting. Although they have other similarities, what really makes me think of the other anime is the bond that Ash has with Eiji & the bond that Canaan has for Maria. It isn't a physical bond, it is a soul bond, there is so much more meaning behind their connection, it is much more genuine than seeking pleasure out of physical actions. It is unconditional love and it really hits you. I may be biased since Banana Fish is in my top 10 favorite anime, but I find that Banana Fish was able to capture that bond much better than Canaan and thus, it is more tear-jerking and emotionally hard to watch if you sympathize too much lol. It could also be because Banana fish has 24 episodes rather than only 13, so they were able to pace if better.

Noragami

Both have sorts of Gods that have to destroy the evil Both have evil spirits that try to get human souls Both have some sort of stain when "darkness" touches it However, noragami has a different atmosphere than ghost...Noragami is funnier while ghosts is more dramatic
