This adaptation was so horrible that I just had to write a review of it. There were bad ones in the past, but this takes the cream of the crop at this time of writing. This studio did make some good ones in their heyday and also recently but this is truly a piece of crap.
Story: 4/10
This is the best I could give to an animation that had a LN to follow to. Story was totally butchered. Touya's thought processes, which made most of the story enjoyable, was left out, making him akin to one who does not think then act. Story goes like a

lazy god killing off Touya, then giving him a proposition of reincarnating in a different world with add-ons, the default Isekai theme. This is where the story starts to fall apart.
Cliched meeting with the twins, randomly forming a party in a world where you'll be possibly be sold off as a slave, MOREOVER, not knowing where he came from and what he is like. The the OP party starts. Meeting Royalty like nobody's business, knowing how to use SPECIALIZED null magic since he understands its effects, meeting the king after his brother takes him along, getting ENGAGED to the bloody princess since she took a liking to him, summoning a divine beast just 'cause he wanted a contract beast (partly because he's too OP), the unneeded slime filler episode for crap fan service, and the list goes on and on and on...
On the last episode especially, IT WAS COMPLETELY OUT OF WHACK. The place where he fought Yae and Elsie (not Elze since it does not follow translation conventions and it sounds retarded as well) was NOT IN THEIR BACKYARD. Crap ton of exposition and information relayed by the wrong people. MOREOVER, making iot look like there'll be a season two at that. Sorry, but that's not gonna happen. Read the novel if you want more.
There was no depth to it, there was no soul to it. It was just a machine to latch on to something that was popular and took it over just so it could suck the fans' money. Totally a waste of time.
Art: 3/10
Totally mediocre. There were times where the animation was flat, as if the drawers have already given up on this series (and I bet you they did). The background looked horrendous, okay not horrendous but it was bad. The magic circles were kind of well made, I guess? But WHO AM I TO JUDGE?! The design of the weapons looked dull, the sheen on it was near non-existent, as if they were not maintained and only the blades had it. The colors was so pastel that most children would laugh at it were it t be a standstill image. Unnecessary CGI, sometimes clunky walking and overall depreciation of the drawings of the characters.
Sound: 3/10
to start with, the OP would be what I would find in a hentai OVA than a mainstream anime. The starting beats of the song were cringe worthy, and makes one feel as if they were staring on a porno. Most of the song were generic singing with no individualism, which all money makers in the industry love.
The OST throughout the whole series was not memorable at all. The worst one being the one where he uses magic and the the OST plays and BAM, shivers were sent down my spine as the music tries to forcefully make my brain associate it with OP magic being used. All I have to say about this is that it was badly executed, as if it was made just so the sound director can go home faster.
The ED was its saving grace, as it was the only thing decent about this anime music wise. Song was okay but then it came to the MILKING MONEY part where the different girls sung the ED. It was totally unnecessary. Saving costs from finding a singer or just because? We will never know (You must be joking if you don't know).
Character: 3/10
Many of the castings have a plethora of experience in voice acting, except the MC's CV.
Let's start, shall we? Mr Fukuhara did a god job voicing Touya, I'll give him that. BUT, that was all. No depth, no emotion, nothing. He may be new and all so, yeah. Hope he gets better.
But the rest? What the hell happened??? It was bland, hard to look at, and so very bad.
Stuttering was not well executed, sounded forced, most of the time the characters felt flat, like emotionless flat. Even if the story was bad, the characters should be the saving grace but NOOOOOOOO, it added to the pile of poo.
There was the yandere-ish Linze, her tsundere counterpart of a twin sister, Elsie, the Edo period sounding Yae, the 6-year old trapped in a 12-year old body, Yumina and also the slutty(?) fairy, Rin (who the hell would translate it to Leen anyways? sounds like a Leek for God's sake. But Funimation would).
Kohaku's voice was the worst. So damn irritating. So bad. Words could not describe my pain in hearing Kohaku speak. Yes, she's minified, but that does not mean you gotta make the voice higher.
That's all. Totally unmemorable characters. Not worth talking about.
Enjoyment: 2/10
This was one of the anime in which I had to pause SO MANY TIMES just to delay my onset of rage. The cut-scenes were unneeded, it made the anime bad by just giving out useless and sometimes cringe-worthy animation. Since I always torture myself by not skipping on the OP and ED on the 1st and last episodes, I had to sit through a minute and a half of embarrassment. The songs should make you feel anything BUT embarrassment. There were times when I thought of stopping but, my kind heart said to give it a chance, maybe it'll change. But it betrayed me. It also gave me a new definition of bad. This was truly, Isekai Smartphone bad.
Overall 1/10
having an OP protag is not the main issue here. If it was well executed, passionate storyboard writing, good staff and CV decisions, and a good use of time instead of making me watch a cut-scene that had no meaning whatsoever, it would have turned out good, not great, but good. It fell due to the dispassionate team and the notion of only making money, which we all know it won't.
