The second season of Da Li Si Rizhi (White Cat Legend) continues right after the events of the first season and takes a darker turn, with a greater focus on political intrigue and Li Bing's past. Li Bing & co investigate General Qiu Shenji's involvement in the burning of Bo Zhou city, but things aren't as simple as they seem. Not to worry though, there is still the same slice of life and comedy from season one interspersed between heavier moments.

Before watching this, know that this is a gag comedy based on a manhua, comprised of short 3-5 minute episodes and lots of 4th wall breaks. So if you're here for heavy plot and character development you should look elsewhere. But if this sounds like something up your alley, then read ahead.
This donghua (chinese anime) is quite enjoyable, and it doesn't need the criteria of typical plot/character-focus anime to work. There's not a lot of action, and the action that does occur is mostly for laughs.
