Both anime focus on the ridiculous everyday interactions and dynamics of 3 female friends in a school setting. Asobi Asobase not only features a similar sense of humor to Oshiete! Galko-chan, but also dabbles with some coming of age topics as well. If you are looking for something light-hearted and to simply be entertained, you need to give this a chance! Similarities: - school / comedy genres - 3 female friends - draws humor from naiveté of characters - talks about loosely similar topics in a very similar manner From a comical standpoint, Asobi Asobase is a touch more juvenile compared to Oshiete Galko-chan; while both focus on the naiveté of it's characters, Asobi Asobase is more "subtle" i.e. uses significantly less overt sexual content! This is probably due to the fact the Asobi Asobase takes place in middle school whereas Oshiete! Galko-chan takes place in high school. Also note that Oshiete! Galko-chan has more of a slice-of-life feel to it compared to the whimsicalities of AA. TL;DR Oshiete! Galko-chan is like Asobi Asobase in a high school setting.
