I got recommened this series by a guild member. I will admit, I did not like this series at first, but as I read on, it got so much better. I thought it would be a shameless ecchi manga having fanservice just for the sake of it, but the mystery, plot twists, action and political conflicts are what actually kept me reading.
I only started to enjoy the series at Chapter 13.
Story: 8
The story is set in a fantasy world that is basically going through the industrial revolution. The Kingdom of Albion, an elven kingdom, is at war with the Dhala Empire, an empire of
...
dark elves, over expansion and colonization of the world. The Kingdom of Albion is basically the good guys, while the converse is true for the other.
Kai, a modern Japanese boy, got isekai-d into this world. He was summoned by Sakura, a princess of the fallen Adarl Kingdom, as Sakura's power required a human (which is considered a rare race) to fully utilize it. While Kai is inept in combat without the aforementioned powers, he is able to use his knowledge from the modern world and act as a strategist, while also bringing modern technology to this world through his knowledge. This quickly earns him the title of a major, all while he gets embroiled between the conflict of the kingdom and the empire.
Art: 10
The artist is talented in drawing tiddies, so the art gets a 10 lmao.
The action scenes are also well drawn as well, as they are hype as hell. (I am a big fan of armour / transformations like in Akame ga Kill and Mato Slave)
Characters: 8
I did not like Kai at first, as he was basically a wimp that is a total pushover. However, when push comes to shove, he was able to steel himself and continue to grow from there in later chapters. Yes, he basically keeps pulling deus ex machinas everywhere (to the point where it could be a running gag lol), but I still found it beareable.
The early chapter's characters seem extremely shallow, but the characters introduced later in the series start to get more complex. Most of the important characters have their own hidden goals or secrets. Some characters start to overcome their own shortcomings, past or trauma. In my opinion, this gives the characters enough depth to make them interesting and for us to care about.
Enjoyment: 10
While the fanservice and ecchi are not the main focus of the series, it's there and it's good LOL
The plot is interesting enough to grab my attention and give me an enjoyable adventure.
Overall: 10
I hope this gets an anime adaptation lol
This series is good if you can get past the initial few chapters. It is a bit text heavy with a lot of exposition, but it was still an enjoyable journey for me.

this series has now become my all time favorite, right next to Spy X Family
Story & Character: Both 10
I am grouping these 2 categories together cuz they go hand in hand
Kaede (the male MC) is crushing on Mie (the female MC). However, Mie is basically blind as a bat without her glasses, and she forgets them a lot. Since Kaede sits next to Mie, he offers to help Mie whenever she forgets her glasses. Gradually, the two becomes closer and closer.
Kaede may first come off as a typical, dense and easily embarrased male MC, but he is quite brave for a romcom MC at
...
his age, as he follows through with a lot of (seemingly) embarrasing situations. Keep in mind that he is just a kid, and kids are quite shy about admitting their crushes (when I was a kid I would get flustered when my friends bring up my crush's name).
The romance is slow in this series, as Mie is kind of an airhead and does not understand relationships and such. However, it builds on really naturally, and you can see Mie slowly falling for Kaede as well as the story progress.
Art: 10
The art is good and cute. Not much to say.
Enjoyment: 10
I've been rereading this series over and over for the past few weeks whenever I am feeling down. Its quite fluffy, so its good for the soul.
Overall: 10
Its a really cute slice of life romcom and is really heartwarming. It's becoming one of my top favorite mangas and I really hope this series continues for a long time because I really see a lot of potential for it (and I want more fluffiness in my life).

still waiting for the serialization lmao when is it gonna happen
as a slice of life fan and romcom fan, i can see this do extremely well, if the author decides to continue the series, but its been a year lol
the premise is quite simple. it basically follows a succubus trying to survive in a human world, and the male mc is basically trying not to be tempted by the succubus. but some inciddent happens and now they gotta live together. typical setup and im dying to know what happens next
it was an enjoyable and relaxing read ngl
based on this one shot, i give it a
...
10/10 so please continue the series lmao i will gladly eat it up
edit: YOOOO THEY ANNOUNCED A SERIALIZATION STARTING ON 16th JULY LOL

Came from The Anime Man once again lol and yeah he was a bit inaccurate with the otaku and little girl scene. No, the otaku did not hit it with the little girl, but did partake in child grooming technically. Still disgusting nevertheless.
Although there are only 6 chapters translated in English, the Chinese version had all 50 chapters translated, and I'm lucky that Cantonese is my first language.
I did not like nor enjoyed this series at all.
No, there's no necrophilia or pedophilia (maybe slightly for pedo? but that's like towards the end) so don't worry, you don't have to tamper with your moral compass to
...
justify reading this series
Story: 2
It's just basically a watered down version of "Danganronpa" and "Doubt!". 7 people get trapped in an abandoned school with no access to food and contact to the outside world. There is also a timer in the main room that counts down to 7 days, and there is also a room with a cooker and a butcher knife. You know how the rest would go.
My thoughts on the story is located waaaaaay down below, after Overalls, because it is impossible to talk about my thoughts without spoiling the story.
Art: 8
All these lesser known small horror mangas have this distinct artstyle and I lowkey like it lol
Characters: 5 -1
This is basically a scenerio where ESH applies. I won't go into spoilers, but given the nature of this manga (in which to expose or reveal the cruelty of human nature), I'd say characters behaving in certain ways are justifiable. But at least the MC isn't just some "no, we have to leave with everyone alive!" like every generic MC in any horror mangas do. So I'll just leave it at a 5
On second thoughts, the fat otaku still creeps me out. So I'll knock the score down by 1 lol
Enjoyment: 1 (SPOILERS)
At least for deadtube, it was somewhat enjoyable due to the fight scenes and had clear resolutions. However, this series is just a pain to get through. There is no defining arcs where the outcome leads to a resolution. What do I mean? Deadtube had different arcs whenever a new video contest event rolls out, and the end of each arc had a somewhat satisfying yet tragic resolution. There is a clear resolution before moving onto the next arc. In Dokumushi, it's just one big slog. You can say each character dying could be counted as an arc, but theres no clear resolution after each character death. It's just problem -> solution -> problem -> solution rinse and repeat until you reach Chapter 50 with a resolution. I do not enjoy this formula in any sort of entertainment.
Overall: 2
This is one of the few times where I'm giving an overall rating not following my enjoyment score. It HAS some redeeming qualities (the MC not being as pathetic), but at the end of the day, I just did not like this series.
STORY SPOILERS + MY THOUGHTS:
The ending of Dokumushi is literally Doubt! (extremely simila, at least), with the MC being the next Dokumushi game champion. Who is the previous champion? It's the little girl.
The reasoning behind starting the game is extremely vague and does not make too much sense. It was said that all 7 of them had something to do with the creator, but in reality, only the MC had a direct relationship with the creator to cause him to be drafted into the game. During the flashbacks of the MC, the MC and his then-still-alive girlfriend are braindead, whilst the girlfriend's father has the most unpractical solution to deal with the MC because he didn't aprove of him dating his daughter. The solution? Making the Dokumushi game. Yeah, the dad is the creator. What a shocker.

i came across this series as per The Animeman's video lol
but i actually enjoyed it! I'm a huge sucker for stories that take place in dark urban settings so this review might come off as being a bit biased.
Story: 10 (might containt some spoilers and is a bit confusing lmao)
Basically, (from my understanding) a selection of people have been abducted by aliens or something and have been placed in a fake version of Tokyo, where everything is monitored by an Eye. Anyone (except some special people) who talks about knowing the city is fake is going to be "killed", which means getting turned into a
...
puppet for the aliens to control. however, there are also these people called "managers", "experts" and "specialist" who are like human commanders under the aliens. "managers" basically know everything and sell people out in exchange for their lost memories, or they can be promoted into "experts", and further into a "specialist". right now, there are 3 specialists in the fake city, and the key to escape the city lies within them. so, they have to be killed in order to obtain the key to escape. oh, and they all have regenerative abilities. so thats fun.
the story follows Makoto, Yukiko and Ruka as they try to uncover the secrets and figure out a way to escape the city. it jumps all around the place, from thriller, mystery, horror to some teeny tiny bit of romance (I'd say initially between Yukiko x Ai and Makoto x Ai, but the ship kinda goes towards Yukiko x Makoto later on).
Art: 10
oh the author is doing fanservice right god damn
like the art is clean asf no cap
Characters: 6
This is where the series' main flaw lies.
To be, the characters just aint cuttin it. My favorite character right now would be Tanisako because he just reminds me of Llyod from Spy X Family lol but he is extremely rutheless though.
The main problem I have would be with Makoto. He is just your generic, typical, self-insert MC in every anime or manga. He is like those "i believe friendship will overcome anything" type of guy. So you might need to get used to him. But one redeeming quality about him would be that he is not a dimwit and is quick to pick up things.
Yukiko started off pretty strong. I liked her character not only because of her design, but because of how cunning and sly she comes off as. She is like your drug dealer kinda guy. However, this slowly faded away, as she slowly becomes one of the "MC-kun please save me!" type of girl. But yeah I still like her cuz she has some good personality.
Ruka is the only good character out of the three. He is the smartest of the bunch and we actually get to see some character development of him, from a crazed maniac obsessed with Artificial Intelligence to a member who shows sympathy towards the other members of the group.
Now that I think of it, isn't Ai's name the same as AI? Coincedence?
Enjoyment: 10
I love the dark urban setting of the story.
And I love me some good personality.
10/10
Overall: 10
I don't want the character score to be holding this review back as it's only 25 chapters as of now. And I give overall scores based on my enjoyment score, so its a 10/10.

tbh when i first saw the thumbnail of this series, i was extremely convinced it was a bait for lolicons or pedos. but once i binged the series, its more on the drama and psychological side of things, rather than seeing a grown up adult trying to get it on with a school kid, or the other way round.
no, this review is not a way to justify me reading this controversial series, but it's had its fair share of cringeworthy moments.
Story and Character: 9
imo, this series goes hand in hand for the story and characters. yeah, its divided into different arcs, but during each arc
...
its focused on the development and backstory of different characters within the series. this includes side characters as well.
also, we get themes such as coming of age, maturity and the meaning of love, albiet the last theme is a bit stretched to the extreme. we see the main characters starting to discover their sexuality (although it doesn't justify the ero scenes) and characters starting to discover and change themselves for the better.
Art: 10
the art style evolves progressively which is nice.
Enjoyment: 7
i wouldn't say i enjoyed it particularly, but it was a ride. some moments disturbed me though (around chapter 90 with the principal would be an example)
Overall: 7
Yes, the aforementioned themes only work if kids are part of the main cast, but we did not need to slap fanservice. This is making it hard for people to actually enjoy or justify this series. Would this work if the casts were only made up of children instead of inserting a teacher in there? Yes, that would work miles better imho. To Kill a Mocking bird details the themes of coming of age much better than this series, but I have a feeling the author is trying to portray another message regarding their ideals of "love". I wouldn't agree with her, but as long as they are happy, I won't dive that deep into it.
Overall, its definitely a ride, albiet a questionable one.

I'm glad I came across this absolute gem. Throughout the 17 chapters, it got me smiling the whole time while invested enough to see where the story goes :) So kudos to Tatsuya Endo!
Story: 10 (minor spoilers)
Basically "Mr & Mrs Smith" but with it also gives off some Harry Potter vibes for Anya's school part. I really enjoyed it and I really enjoyed the setting being heavily based on the West.
However, what really gets me would be the way how the author changes basic activities (such as going on a family trip or dining out) to be such a huge deal within the family. This
...
is the most entertaining part of the series and I had the largest smile the entire time because it is just so precious and heartwarming to see how three 'misfits' are figuring out how to act like the others at their own pace.
I'd say the themes for this manga would be Action, Comedy, Slice of Life, Romance, Thriller (debatable, though in some instance definitely) and Shounen.
Art: 10
I really like the artstyle of this series! Can't wait for the next issue to come out :D
Character: 10
This is the main selling point of the manga. It's all about character development and each chapter progresses at a relatively reasonable pace. All three of the main characters bond over this 'fake family' for their own reasons, but they have gradually gotten more comfortable with each other. Agent Twilight started to see the world as not just completing tasks after tasks, but rather theres more enjoyment and fulfillment in life (step by step though). Then theres Yor, an assassin who 'married' Twilight initially just to make her brother more reassured and to make her line of work more easy. As time passes though, she has come to enjoy the companionship of the 'family' and starts to see the joy in life as well. And of course, the best character of the series, Anya, the esper who poses as the 'daughter'. I would even go as far as to argue that Anya is the main driving force for the development of all the main characters. With her mind reading ability, she is basically the middle man that knows the secret of both her 'parents', but because she has always wanted a family, she puts up with it (and she also thinks spies and assassins are cool. so just a normal ordinary kid?). Most of the comedy is generated by Anya's innocence after she reads someone's mind and trying her best to tell a message (in an indirect way) to those around her without exposing her powers, or sometimes just make hilarious yet adorable facial expressions.
Enjoyment: 10
I will reread this over and over. I don't care. This series is the purest thing ever.
Overall: 10
I would even go as far to argue this manga as to being a top contender for the best manga in 2019. Go read it! Trust me, you will not regret it! As of this review, there are 17 + 2 extra short chapters.

I read this manga after watching "Day in the Life of a Japanese Manga Creator" and boy am I glad I did.
It takes the general RomCom formula and kinda plays around with the possibilities to make it feel kinda refreshing.
Story: 8
Well I'm a sucker for those slice of life, romcom manga or anime so this is for me. But the start was a bit rocky as this series wouldnt even exist if the MC said "Oh yeah she is just a friend" at the beginning (which any normal human being would do but whatever it was funny). OVerall, it gets better as there are actual
...
development and moments where you feel sympathetic for the characters.
Art: 10
Yeah I fw it. Very clean.
Character: 8
I didn't like the MC at first. Not a bit. He is extremely flawed (constantly lying, spineless and a bit pathetic). But, he does grow more mature (albiet really slowly) as the chapters go by.
However, there are instances where I felt like everyone's the asshole. An example would be when the MC didn't flat out reject a girl who is heads over heels for him but instead does a "trial" date that doesn't seem to end till the universe explodes. Or when the heroine is acting bitchy towards the MC for no apparent reason. Sometimes the MC is a bit entitled too but I'm not going too deep into details on that. Oh and the MC's ex is manipulative as fuck so theres that. But I mean she doesn't get too much screentime so its aight.
What makes me give it a high score would be moments where characters have heart to heart exchanges. Those are really warm. I know a lot of manga and anime, hell even any story, does these at least ONCE. But the heart to hearts just feels kinda natural here and I really like it. It's really cozy.
Enjoyment: 10
With everything combined, I find it a really enjoyable read and would definitely reread it if I have time :)
Overall: 10
I really like this series. Yeah I ranted a lot on the characters but still, there are character developments so I'm fine with a rocky start, as long as it works out for the better.

Curiosity got the better half of me after watching TheAnimeMan's video. After reading the first few chapters, I just kept reading cuz I was still curious before I reached the point of no return. Now I have depression lmao.
Ok, I'll say I enjoy themes that are kinda dark. I liked Akame Ga Kill and Fate Stay Night (all three routes and zero). However, this manga takes dark to a whole new level and I'm genuienly disturbed.
Story: 3
What if Youtube was like the Red Room and is government sponsored? Well that's the central plot around this series. Except, it somehow kinda mashes some actions scenes.
...
I feel like a more psychological approach could be more suited for this story. But hey, some actions scenes are cool (Justice Man at least lmao). But still, I feel like it is kind of inconsistent. Are you tryna start a fight / gruesome action scene or are you just trying to earn some quick cash by filming other's demise? Also, there are ALOT of sex scenes. I feel like its a bit repetitive and thrown in just for the sake of it but censored just enough to not be classified as a hentai. The gore as well. It's being thrown in just to boost the shock factor. But that won't come as a shocker if I've seen it like every chapter.
Some character's background and motivations are sooo muddy and unclear that even the MC's are just speculating. Like ok, I get that you want to keep some suspense and mystery. But I thought this isn't a mystery manga? More like a thriller or horror manga. Even so, why did you not explain it when ITS THE END OF THE ARC?
Art: 8
Yeah the gruesome parts are really detailed. TOO detailed, if you ask me.
Characters: 3 (some spoilers from the RAW)
Whats the point of caring for the characters when they're gonna be dropped like flies? Yeah its cool to see the Rascal and Justice Man teaming up to fight against MC's apparently not dead Dad, but still most characters either appear for like 3 or 4 chapters and then they just kick the bucket. The MC is so twosided. On one hand, he seems extremely spineless, and on the other, is a ruthless maniac. The main girl kinda creeps me out (we didn't get much insight of her backstory). I'll say, my favourite character would be Justice Man, Miwa and Mizuno Saki. I like Justice Man because of his introduction arc being hilarious and Mizuno because of her character design. Miwa is also one of my favourite cuz of her design as well.
Enjoyment: 2
I'm depressed. So good job to the author if thats what he / she is trying to go for.
Overall: 3
Yeah just skip it. If you like gory stuff, then go for it.
TL;DR:
Won't recommend. Sex scenes and gore are just thrown in for the hell of it and doesn't really add much other than to boost the shock factor. If you like a survival horror story, go for others. If you are staying for character designs but not for their personalities, then sure.
