After the golf-tastic first season that went all out, this season feels unfortunately quite lackluster. They removed the over the top, good parts that drew us in and replaced them with a generic sports anime.
Animation was okay, but I felt that many golf scenes were copy pasted animations.
Story wise I think the part with Aoi's mother lying to her was never resolved?
Eve's and Aoi's personalities also took a hit. Different to S1.
The backstories were nice, but nothing more. Them being somewhat related resulted in absolutely nothing? I think it'd have been better if season 2 did not exist.

cute, drama free SOL rom-com. I like how the author mixes up 4koma with the more traditional manga format, depending on the scenes, since I'm generally now a huge fan of 4koma manga.
There are indeed similarities to komi-san, and even goes a bit into harem territory, which was pretty much pointless here. But in comparison to komi-san, which kind of lost its identity and recently does not know what it wants to be (gag manga?), this manga kept its flavors. Though similarly, there were some characters that were a bit pointless, and totally could have been left out. Moreover, it has to be said, this ...

OP is a straight up Oreigaru copy. Also this anime was definitely influenced by Oreigaru and maybe Seishun Buta Yarou. Maybe the LN wasn't, from what I gathered, but the directors were.
Since I read the manga first, though there aren't many chapters available, I had high expectations to this series. But this is a joke. If you think the idea is interesting, read the manga. It's 100x better. I haven't read the LN, so I can't comment on that. But every monologue that makes the character dynamics interesting has been removed. And even worse, the pacing is atrocious, what is even going on here? How many ... |
