I'd say this anime doesn't appeal to those who don't already know the Obey Me characters; sure, you can understand fine, but there's no attachments to be formed with such short episodes. It was fine as a sort of slice of life, but I don't know if it's worth watching unless you have a particular attachment to the game or want to get into the game. Personally, as I haven't played the game and haven't got an interest in otomes, I didn't care for the plots, but they were goofy enough that they didn't bore. As a time killer I might recommend, if nothing else.

This manga was interesting, though I'm not sure it's for everyone. I loved the artstyle, and the perspective of Nagito is always something interesting to see, so this manga was great in that respect. I also loved the character arts each chapter, especially towards the end of the final volume; they were beautiful. However, there were of course downfalls to the adaptation too. My main problem is how the manga cuts off abruptly around deadly life chapter 3 - the pacing seemed very odd, and it was strange to just completely skip out on chapter 4 and 5, especially 5, as they're so core to
