Just because you're cute doesn't mean you can't creep someone out, as both these anime can show that being silly is only part of their plan, catching you off guard with a knife wielding character among other disturbing things laying in wait is what these anime have in store.

If you liked K-On! add

...then you might like Working!! add

Both are as pointless as it gets, but they are cute as they are pointless however. One is about a slice of life story about people working in a restaurant, and the other is a about a gaggle of high school girls drinking tea when they should be playing music. I guarantee if you like one, you'll like the other.

If you liked Heroman add

...then you might like Tiger & Bunny add

Both are charming throwbacks to classic superhero Saturday morning cartoons. While Tiger&Bunny uses clever satires with the theme of superheroes, Heroman is more basic with the whole premise.

If you liked Baccano! add

...then you might like Durarara!! add

Not only are both of them originally created by Ryohgo Narita, but are both similar as character driven stories and deals with supernatural elements in somewhat realistic settings.

If you liked Gintama add

...then you might like Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei add

Both are hilarious and have no continuing plot, but episodic chapters. Though SZS is darker in tone and Gintama is sillier, both consist great satire.

If you liked Gantz add

...then you might like Psyren add

Though the settings and tone differ, the core of both stories and recurring events are really similar. Gantz, though, is much more mature (Gore, sexual themes, bloodier, and a lot grosser).
