Kuzu no honkai is one of the few romance anime who mange to capture the full reality of love in real life. In most anime, they fall in love and all is well and everything is great. Not in kuzu no honkai.
Story 9/10
This tale is so much more than two horny teenagers. They're heart broken at the hopelessness of them managing to make their dreams reality, and therefore use each other as replacements. They give each other everything, except for their feelings. But that's not it. More characters who genuinely love them come into play, making it all so much more exciting to watch. It's

very real and cruel, it perfectly illustrates the negative side of love, the fact you can't control your feelings and other people's feelings. So much I even cried at the end.
Art 8/10
The art isn't particularly AMAZING but it is rather nice to look at. The colors used are soft, not bright and brilliant, which suits the nature of the anime. The line art is a little rugged, which gives literal sense to the saying " rough around the edges ". The animation is pretty smooth, nothing to say about that.
Sound 9/10
The soundtrack is absolutely beautiful. When I first heard the anime opening, I was captivated by the beautiful vocals. What I didn't know was that at the end, there was a even better ending. The singer's voice was amazing throughout the piece.
Characters 9/10
The characters in Kuzu no Honkai are complex and unpredictable, despite the fact it was only a 12 episode long anime. You couldn't sort them in categories or dere types, they acted with personalities that only suited them which is part of why this anime is so dear to me. They act out according to whatever they think they should do, not to whatever rules their certain type needs to abide by.
Enjoyment 10/10
I enjoyed Kuzu no Honkai thoroughly. Never was I bored, not for a second. It kept my attention all the way to the end, without fail, as most anime should strive to achieve.
Overall 9/10
Kuzu no Honkai was for me a breeze of fresh air in the winter 2017 anime season. I tolerate the fact it's more of a hit-or-miss kind of anime; for most either you love it or you hate it. On my part, it was a great decision i took when I decided to watch, since it is now one of my favorites.
