Oboreru Knife is a good story shoujo manga. which drama is focused in a really realistic way, there are not too much dreamy pinky situations, that make the story very interesting and you don't feel it empty.
About the graphics, they have a unique style. The eyes are big but the mangaka maintains the shape of a real eye, and it makes a mature impression. Also, the mangaka don't use too mane shadows on the characters and if she use it, the shadows are represented by consecutives lines, but most of the times you see the characters in white and black, with only lines standing
...
out. At the beginning, I didn't like the mangaka's style, however, when I read this manga, I really thought this style match the story, so I can't say that I still don't like it.
As I said before, the story is kind of mature and the characters are kind of unique. The relationship between the main characters doesn't look like a simple atraction, and it becomes more complicated as time and some facts occurs. They are very convoluted, even though the girl acts like a normal girl (She feel excited and happy to be with him), she aims him like a adult woman and this kind of changes make you visualize the puberty age in the character, not a girl, not a woman, yet. The boy is very agressive and his feelings are wild. Maybe you are never going to comprenhend him, and he is someone who receives a lot of pressure and he looses this pressure with his crazy and wild doings.
As a conclusion, this manga is unique and the characters are well developed. If you want to read this kind of mature, but cute love story, you're tired of ilogical situations like you usually see in shoujo manga, this is a good manga to read.

King of thorn is a manga where fiction, mystery and the will to survive blend in a pefect way. Each character has a story that is too hard and painful remembering it and some of them do suspicious actions that makes others feel distrust and unsteadiness.
What I like the most is the story. Even though the essence of the story is not something new (There is a pandemic disease, everyone wants to survive, there are a lot of mysteries to solves and some characters die in the way), the fiction parts is really good and unique. Also, every character has a past they don't want
...
to tell but as the story progresses, they solve their problems and traumas to keep it up with the others. Besides, slowly finding out the truth, they don't give up and they continue in order to find a way out. There are many dramatic parts, they have to fight with the monsters and the disease, to overcome their fears and help each other in order to survive.
The graphics are very cool too. The style is very good and the shadowing are represented by lines, not by grey flat colors. The author use only black colors to do shadowing most of the time and he only use grays color when is really necessary to differentiate colors, so it's unusual to see gray coloring in the background or the clothes ( Clothes and scenery are only white and black, there are not gray shading colors) Even though it look a little plain, he can portray the action withouth problems. It's good shounen style.
As a conclusion, if you like fiction mixed with mystery, a survival story with drama and action, this manga is the one for you to read.

Basilisk is a manga that reveals honor, loyalty, cleverness and abilities of the ancient ninjas, with some awesome and unique power in each character. It has a fantastic story which shows love can overcome anything, but the path the couple have to follow is a bloody and hard way.
The first thing I like about Basilisk is story. It shows you an old Japan, where samurais and specially ninja still exist. Even if they had to serve to their lord, they have feelings and ulterior motives to keep in their sides and fight. The love of the msin characters maintains strong and pure, althought the
...
others want to stain it and sometimes they have to make difficult decision between love and loyalty. Even though the story is not anything beyond normal, each character has a different development in the story that makes it more complicated and scheming.
About graphics, it's a very good seinen art. Even though. I'm not affectionate to seinen, this manga makes me feel captivated with the battle scenes and the gore scenes. They really impact you and the backgrouund is very well done They really makes the quick and running action of ninjas stand out.
To conclude, this manga has many doses of action, gore, supernatural powers, scheming and crude story. If you like ninja with high amounts of crude action, this manga is one of the best choice for you.

I have never felt atractted to any boxing theme mangas. However Buyuden was different. The story begins in a simple way (boy meet girl and later he follow the girl's doing beacause he likes her and admires her), but it catchs you with his graphics and the story development.
The first thing I like is the graphics, they are nice, a good example of shounen manga. What I like about the graphics is that not all the characters look like an Hercules, with muscles in every inch of their bodies. I know is obvious they're not like that because many of their characters are children. But
...
even so, when they focus adults boxer characters, they are not awfully muscular either. I don't like realistic faces, and many of boxing theme manga characters have them. To be sincere, I was not very interested in boxing theme mangas until I read Buyuden. When I read Buyuden, I saw another face of boxing. I never thought boxing was so awesome!
Another thing I like about Buyuden is the characters. I like Isamu, he is so arrogant but after he meets Moka, he gradually changes, even though he doesn't realize this fact. Also, Moka is a very interesting character. I like this kind of characters, strong and not the typical lady-like girls.
The story is simple, but I like it. It's the cliche story in sports shounen manga, the main character discover the sport, starts to pratice it and then he wants to be the best of the best player, competitors of this sports, but there are many difficulties the character has to face in order to improve. But even if the sequences of the story are similar in many other sport mangas, Buyuden focus very well the boxing moves, the punchs and you don't get lose with the quick movements (this happens in some mangas). Also, they explain you many of the boxing terms, so you understand what the disadvantage and advantage in each characters.
As a conclusion, if you really like this kind of story, the character build up to a top competitor mixed with comedy and nice boxing scenes, you would like to read this manga.

Ayakashi is one of this animes that it has original ideas like the ayakashi power, how the power wakes up and ayakashi idea was good, but the way the story develop was horrible, very bad.
There are some things I like about Ayakashi. One of them is the powers idea, it is kind of unique and the anime explains how they get the akayashi powers. The OP and ED are very gloomy but I like them and the sountracks are fine.
However, there a lots of things I don't like this anime. First thing is the graphics, they are too blurry and the animations are very poor
...
and mediocre, for an anime from 2007-2008. Fate Stay night or Gantz have better animations than Ayakashi, even though they are animes from 2006 and 2004, respectively. Besides, the next chapter animation is worst than the previous one.The colors are very rough and poor, too. Another thing is the story. Although I like the concepts of the power, the story is very rush. It didn't explain many parts of the story, for example, you dodn't know when one of the characters, who was one of the ally's enemy, changes to the good guys side. Also, the dialogues are simple... too SIMPLE. I think there are more thing to say, more words to use in a dialogue, but almost all the time, the charactes use the same words or the same phrases. To add more, the characters couldn't develop more and they explain their reasons of doing something in a rush, poorly way.
To conclude, I think Ayakashi could have been a better anime if the story had been more elaborated. It's a shame that the story were soo poor because I really like the topic of Ayakashi (But I would have liked to see interaction and explanation of the characters)

Well, first thing to say is that the chapters of Kara no Kyoukai don't follow a linear chronologic order, whether we are talking about the order of the chapters or the order of the chapter scenes. Sometimes, you need a lot of dedication and try to follow and understand what this anime is telling you, because there are a lot of philosophical things, but the main topic, the story, is very nomal and I think is like any other story.
Maybe, I'm going to say the same things: I like the graphics, the special effects, the soundtracks and many other things. Well, to tell you in
...
a brief way, I was and I 'm very delighted with the graphics, I think is the first thing that make me feel atracted to this anime. Clear, but dark, obscure, intriguing scenes can be watched and this just enhance the mystery and thrill. The special effects in the battle were simple, but they mix very well with the characters doings. And the music, I think Kajiura Yuki music complemented this anime very well and they add a unknown, enigmatic atmosphere.
Talking about the story, I think this chapter is one of the most gore one. It presents nudity scenes, but it doesn't become something hentai. The gore scenes are kind of direct, without censures, but it's not that crude. This chapter is like an another adventure of Shiki's life, so there aren't many explanations here. The most salient explanation concerning to Shiki is about her arm. Well, I think you can enjoy the chapter without worrying too much about if you are going to understand or not, because this chapter just focus in the encounter and battle with the antagonist of this chapter. It can look like a Spin off of Tsukihime, but things were taken in a different level and there are many enigmatic issues.
As a conclusion, I really recommend this anime if you like gore things mixed with a thrilled and kind of freaking story. Even though it's something appart of the two other chapters, I can say if you like the other chapters, this one will be to your liking.

I really like many of the TYPE MOON series and one of them is Kara no Kyoukai. And this chapter is very interesting and fascinating.
First at all, I was delighted with the graphics. They are very cool, and well done. The animation is very clear, many scenes were dark but this just add more mystery and thrill, just what this anime is. There are many abstrac obscure scenes and in this time, you're not going to see many bloody scenes, however, routine scenes are intriguing, too. I like the character design but I think is kind of little cliche, both of the main characters
...
remind of the main characters of Tsukihime, although the personality of the main female characters are really different.
Another thing I liked was the soundtracks. They are really nice and they complement the scenes and mix with them very well. They just give you more occult and mystery senses and a little bit of sadness and doubt of many things. Well, I really like Yuki Kajiura songs and this anime is perfect for her songs.
About the story, this chapter explain a lot than the others chapters. As I said, there aren't many bloody scenes or too much action as the third one, but this complement the other three previous chapters and you are going to understand a lot of things, but obviously, not everything (If you understand everything, then this anime would have never been classify as mystery). I like this anime doesn't follow the traditional linear chronological order, maybe it is a little confusing, but this chapter is going to clear up many concepts and ideas.
To conclude, if you like mystery, thriller, psichological plots and obscure gore things, also you like supernatural things like ghost and souls and you had seen the other chapter and you don't understand it very much, I really recommend you to watch this anime.

To be sincere, the main reason I feel atracted to a certain manga are the drawings. And this manga is one of them. The drawings are really good, the females characters are very cute and the male characters are really hot. It can look like a shoujo manga, but actually, it's shounen. The monsters are not terrifying, though.
The story is simple, but very very funny. Some characters are awfully innocent or practical or very excentric. They say comical things out of the blue and that make you laugh and some of their whims are very special too. You can't see a sad situation in this
...
manga because the sad situation instantly becomes in a absurd and funny one.
As the last thing to say, if you want to read funny manga with ironic situations, you really have to read this manga.

I consider that Ayahatori Shoukanjou is a nice shoujo manga to read, which the drawing is kind of similar with Vampire knight.
Well, first thing I like about it is the drawing. It has a really nice drawing and you can see without a doubt is a shoujo manga just by looking the drawings. Even though the female characters have big eyes, the eyelashes aren't decorated too much and this kind of eyes are cute, too. However, as in many other shoujo manga, there are some very cute decorations on scenes (not to say awfully cute) like petals, flowers, and a lot of light spheres effects.
...
What I really like above all of this are the drawings of the characters hair and the handsome boys (lol).
About the story, it is a simple story, a very cliche one. And the main character remind me of Yuuki Cross (Main character of VK). But I like the idea of the power of weavers and all of that thing. First, I thought this power was like the power of Alice 19th manga, but it is a totally different one. However, all the rest are typical: the happy energic girl and the serious distand boy, they like each other and you know. And all the story focus in the relationships and not too much in the powers.
As a conclusion, the drawing are really good but the story lack a little more of action. But, if you are a really shoujo fan girl and you prefer read more about the relationships than the supernatural or fantasy things in a story, this manga is a really good option for you.

I strongly believe that Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun is a great manga and one of the few manga which mix comedy and romance very well and avoids becoming dull and annoying.
Well, first, I'm delighted with the drawing of the author. The drawing is very nice and the characters are drawed very atractive and some of them cool and others, very cute. Even though is a shoujo, doesn't have that flashy and awfully cute, the characters don't have those annoying shiny eyes (Usually shoujo manga has them) and the females characters don't have those puppy dog eyes that I'm tired to see. The scenes of this manga
...
are not annoyingly decorated either.
Another thing I like is the story. As I said before, this manga mix comedy and romance very well, situations develop very smoothly and lightly, and you can't get tired of this. Each character has a personality that make them unique in the story, and sometimes, the characters react in funny way when a problem appears, being stubborn and childish, but they aren't crybabies (Usually you see that in shoujo manga female characters, ALWAYS CRYING) and they solve their problems and differences in a very sensitive way, with comedy scenes in there too. The plot is not very complicated and easy to understand. Even though some things are a little cliche, the story avoids becoming dull, boring, annoying as it happens with many mangas.
To conclude, I could say that if you want to read something light, you want romance but you want to laugh a lot too, this manga is the perfect election for you.
