Damn, I didn't expect much to be honest, but seeing so many lolis sexualized threw me off a lot, that it was hard to be invested in the story. Plus, it was a mess regarding the plot, and it ended leaving a lot of questions unanswered. This is the end of part 1, but there never was a part 2, so this is all there is to the story.
Who was the man in black? What happened in the end? Who was the priest really? There were so many things happening and almost none of them had a conclusive answer. The gore was fine, and the

Jagaaaaaan

This manga is one of the most Gantz things that aren’t related to Gantz. You have the cool battles, the strange creatures, the amazing artwork and lots of sex. And, underneath it all, there is a great story about the human condition, and why people dream and desire. How we try to find meaning in a world that feels overwhelming and senseless, and rise above those negative sensations.
I like how complex themes are seamlessly added into the story of policeman Jagasaki when he gets turned into a mutant called fractured human. Jagasaki wanted a different life style and now that he gets one, he has ... Dec 29, 2024
First of all, I must say that I expected more. The premise reminded me of a Blade Runner-esque scenario mixed with a Sauron-like character as the main character with a story full of action, twists and turns, but somehow the story and the pace got stale by episode 3. As a whole the series is entertaining, but I expected more with a cyberpunk scenery. It feels like a nice change of the usual fantasy/medieval anime series out there.
While it started strong, the story suffered from the same clichés that many isekai do (despite Demon Lord 2099 being a reverse isekai, but an isekai nonetheless), ... Dec 23, 2024
NieR:Automata Ver1.1a Part 2
(Anime)
add
What a season! Season one had a rough start with the CGI and the constant delays, that I literally forgot to watch this season. I'm glad to have watched this second season, because it was amazing. The anime adaptation of NieR: Automata changed the plot and added new details to the story, but they felt justified, and even expanded the lore behind Yoko Taro's magnus opus.
The animation improved a lot compared to season one, blending CGI and traditional styles way better, bringing the beautiful world of NieR: Automata to life. The music remains emotional, and I recognized some tunes and even new ones. The storytelling ... Dec 9, 2024
Mononoke Movie: Karakasa

I remember watching *Mononoke* a few years ago and being completely captivated by its striking visuals and incredible storytelling. Even 17 years later, the series hasn’t lost its charm. The fact that it even got a movie still amazes me, but I’m glad people continue to appreciate thought-provoking, philosophical, and avant-garde anime.
I might need to rewatch it sometime—or dive into an analysis—to fully grasp all the ideas conveyed in the movie. It’s always a treat to see our beloved Medicine Seller perform his peculiar, otherworldly rituals. I like how we are able to recognize him, even though we know nothing of his past. ... Nov 1, 2024
What an ending! I’m not sure why it took me so long to finish, but the journey was absolutely worth it.
This final season delivered a complex and mature exploration of the characters’ growth and emotions, leading us to a powerful and satisfying conclusion that skillfully avoided clichés. I loved how Hachiman, Yukino, and Yui were portrayed—each character demonstrated genuine growth and engaged in deep reflections on their pasts, highlighting the many ways they’ve changed over time. Overall, it was a perfect and emotional finale to one of my favorite anime series, leaving a lasting impression that I won’t soon forget. Sep 21, 2024
This was so over-the-top, silly, non-sensical, and epic at the same time. Trigger as usual delivers a fast-paced, action-packed film with incredible animation, and great battles in a world that reminded me of the X-Men franchise.
We have mechas, mutants, firemen, and many other things. The only issue I have with Promare is the world-building and characterization, but do we really care about that in a movie about fire people fighting against a government that will use them as a generator for a spaceship? If we're looking for logic, we will not find it here. The unbreakable human spirit overcoming all trials and tribulations, and prevailing ... Sep 8, 2024
Spy x Family Movie: Code: White
(Anime)
add
This isn't anything new regarding the story, since this is pretty much a stand alone movie, so if you expect it to influence the main anime, you will be disappointed. However, if you are looking for a fun movie to spend your time with, Spy X Family Movie: Code: White is it.
The movie is exactly what you can expect from this franchise: Cute moments, funny scenes, Anya epic and funny faces, and lots of action, and since this is a movie, the animation is top notch. Recommended for fans of the franchise. Favorite part: Anya and her faces throughout the film. Aug 3, 2024

Hayao Miyazaki leaves no one indifferent. He is a man who changed the animation industry, and pretty much a legend along Hideaki Anno, Satoshi Kon, just to name a few other anime directors.
I’ve seen his usual clips about how he views the world, and he’s pretty much a doomer, however his works greatly differ from the man himself. On the other hand his art is majestic, full of colors, magic, imagination and hope. The attention to detail in his works is amazing, and you can tell that there is blood, sweat and tears put into every frame. For some his work is repetitive, and I ... |
