Mushoku Tensei Season 2. This season has some weird design choices, narration issues, pacing, and some weird cut content from the LN's.
That all being said, this season is the best season so far. The ability of Studio Bind in combination with the source material to convey messages that hit so close to home, you forget this is a fantasy show sometimes, at least for me. Many of the things Rudy takes away (and loses), and remembers as mistakes he keeps repeating, resonate with me on so, so many levels it really is like looking into a mirror at myself.

I'll keep this brief and short.
This show redefined what anime was to me when I first watched it. This show really opened up the idea of what the medium could be, as a mature thought provoking medium. The characters I adored, the story and world were mysterious. The dub for this show was utterly fantastic, even though I almost exclusively watched subs. It's not perfect, it contains many flaws, but overall the package to me exceeds those flaws by some and then more. This show is not for everyone, especially these days, but it is my favorite of all time and will remain so. Jun 24, 2023

I've seen a lot of shows, probably more than I care to admit. Shows that show and don't tell are one of the harder series to pull off, especially because you need the watcher to be captivated enough to pay enough attention in order to relay the story and information you are trying to convey. This show, pulls it off. I'd say, it pulls it off too well. There are problems I have with it story wise sure, but I cannot understate how perfect the directing was done to portray this story to the viewers. This is one of ... |
