I would rather not spoil all of Attack on Titan but these shows can be strikingly similar when looked at closely. The enemies in Attack on Titan (the the titans) hold an unusual likeness to Houseki no Kuni's Lunarians. While at the same time both shows display similar themes of wanting to change, grow stronger, etc. Both protagonists seek out the truth of the unusual circumstances they live in.

Kill la Kill

Same premise of girl with sword taking on the student council. Kill la Kill is extremely similar to Utena in that way. Perhaps this recommendation could seem like a bit of stretch for some people but I'm going to make it anyway. While watching one or the other you might even find some of the characters to be quite similar to each other (Sanageyama to Saionji, Ragyou to Akio, etc). Obviously Kill la Kill is much more of a comedy than Utena is, while also being a lot more lewd in nature. However, absolutely worth the shot of trying one after the other.

Both of these shows share the same wild director that is Ikuhara, thus it speaks for itself that these two shows would be similar. However, if you are interested in Ikuhara's work you would find that these two shows are the most similar. Sarazanmai and Penguindrum share the most striking similarities out of all his work. Worth a shot if you like one or the other!

Shows feature extremely similar topics, and if you like Yagate Kimi ni Naru, you will probably also enjoy its less popular predecessor. Both shows cover a lot of romance between its two female protagonists but also takes on a lot of darker and deeper themes. Strawberry Panic, much like Yagate Kimi ni Naru, also has one of the characters being the president of the student council. Something that I enjoy about each of these shows is how little annoying drama there is apart from a few understandable characters. Strawberry Panic can be seen as a little outdated, but I recommend giving it a shot.
