Okay, some of those reviews that say do not recommend. They forget that this is a COMEDY anime. COMEDY. I mean, come on Arajin's name is a literal play on Aladdin. He himself is a joke of course he's not gonna be the cool protag you want him to be. He's just a teenage boy that fell for a girl in love with her brother and all he cares about is losing the vcard as teenage boys do. The jokes in this anime are great. I had a great laugh, the Arajin virginity joke, Mahoro being a bro-con (btw her character is literally the
...
joke, she is the character that is in love with their sibling hence bro-conflict. It has been done before in other anime), Jasmine-chan, Arajin's mom and even the ending.
This anime may be off-putting at first when you watch the first ep, but it gets SO much better. This is a good anime, cause it was interesting that they kept the backstory for later. They had fun with the many characters they had. Character design was great, and I loved each of their personalities except Shindo cause omg dude stop scratching your neck. I can tell that those who can not stand these types of anime are literally the ones who laugh at Pop Team Epic or Asobi Asobase cause those take it to the extreme. While this anime, just has a simpler humor that a certain type of people get. I am one of those people who get it. This anime isn't bad just cause you yourself don't get the jokes or don't find them funny. I mean, it probably is mainly due to the repetitiveness, but that's my kind of humor and I understand that it is not for most people, but that does not mean this anime is terrible. Either get past it or just drop it.
The story is overall interesting on its own. The history between Senya and Ichiya, Matakara and Arajin's past conflict. It was cool that they made their stories sort of overlap each other. I also adore the mix of Japanese and Arabian culture as the concept. Made the world feel new and different. Matakara's internal conflict was fascinating, cause it was good to see how much fear can affect one's mind. Especially if said person ends up turning on their beliefs. I loved seeing sweet baby Matakara literally lose it.
As for the ending, it was nice to see it go in a more serious direction and finish things off in a special way. It was cool that they made it feel like two fights at the end. The fight between Ichiya and Senya, and the fight between Matakara and Arajin. It all wrapped up nicely, and I'm glad they didn't end it on like a calm note, cause of course it reminds you again that this is a comedy. Might as well have a little fun before ending things. Overall, enjoyable and I had a great time watching this.

This season really felt like it was actually Hypmic. The story was done well, and it truly felt like what Hypmic was all about with the tragic story and interesting conflict throughout the anime. It was cool to see how they slowly showed our antagonist in the anime and having all the divisions share the same problem, which leads us to the introduction of Osaka and Nagoya. It was a good way to help new fans learn about these two divisions. Not only that, but it was also a good choice to hint certain points of most of the characters pasts so that new fans
...
become interested and current fans enjoy seeing the reference. Unlike the first season, where they just easily gave the information away in an awkward sense since it was brought up by Tom rather than Ichiro. That would make more sense to talk about it with one of the boys in their perspective, rather than some stranger or new character bringing it up. The first season can explain the past events of the story, but I'm glad the second hinted it, so new fans can become further interested. The new characters they added actually made sense to add. Akira and Satoru were actually explained and seemed more important to the events that took place. Kaibyakumon also was a great antagonist to the story, as his past made sense to what led to now. It was a good idea to have him cause so much disaster before dying, since there wasn't anything else to do after the loss of his company and friends. Also, they did great reintroducing us to the boys with the beginning episodes showing the boys we met in the first season then introducing the new characters that are actual characters that got added later in the franchise. Overall, there were no issues from what they showed. Besides, trying to show Secret Aliens again at the end, proving once again that they were not needed. This felt like the Hypmic I know, and it really was what probably some fans expected the anime to be like. It was way more enjoyable to watch compared to the first season as this still had the same slice of life aspect with some fun and jokes like usual. This time, with an interesting story, and way better songs.

There was so much hope and hype for this anime, and yet it turned out to be mostly a disappointment. It was going great for the first few episodes. The slice of life type episodes were doing great so far until Buster Bros' confusing, but enjoyable episode. It had the "problem of the day" storyline, but was a good way to introduce new people to Hypmic. It was also a good thing to showoff for the new fans. Music was decent, and the characters were fine. It would have been great if it weren't for Secret Aliens. They had no reason to be in this
...
anime. Yes, it would make it more interesting, but they felt SO forced into this. Like, when Tom asked so casually about Ichiro's past even though he JUST met him. Or the fact that Tom was like, "Oh Jakurai, I exist, you just didn't see me because I was covered in bandages." Irys, of course, is hacker friends with Saburo. As for Rex, he was just there to fill the third position. They really tried to make them more important than they actually were. All the problems in the episodes could have been easily solved by the main boys themselves without them. It really was just pointless to have them be seen as like an ally for the boys, but of course they were working with Chuohku. How unsurprising. The first division rap battle was fine to include. It was good for new and current fans to learn about. It should have just ended there with Matenro winning and nothing else, but since they needed more story for the remaining episodes. They gave Secret Aliens a conflict point for them, only for their reason to work with Chuohku and go against the boys, is that they were helping people in other countries and that the government was helping them and that the main boys are the bad ones. And yet, they thought having them involved with the boys in the first half of the anime as good guys was a good idea. Nope, just made current fans confused and making new fans think they are actual important characters when they are not. Secret Aliens are fine as themselves, but trying to make them seem important was not going anywhere. Yes, they are the conflict and including them the whole time would make sense, but there were better ways to do it than this. Either make them side characters or leave them out. They sadly ruined most of the watching experience for me. I really was hoping the best as a long time hypmic fan.

This season was just so lackluster for an idol anime season. It was great to hear B-pro got a 3rd season. But, just why did Ultraz have to be in this season? It just made no sense at all. This season just feels like a non canonical spin off. If only they made it more intersting, but this season just did not do well.
Characters, the boys themselves are fine, but sadly each of their episodes were just okay. It's just them being them. Tsubasa was frustrating as she had so many moments to be a good A&R, but of course she is the helpess heroine
...
you'd expect. Ultraz. There was so much focus on A-suke, and B-ta just felt like he was there to just exist. A-suke was very annoying. I will still not get over that ep where he got so butt hurt over Tsubasa eating out with Thrive instead of them. B-ta is just there. He had no interesting qualities. Just there to be pretty. Yes, for anime only people, Killer King was introduced in the second season and that it would make sense to add another group, but Killer King has been around for a long time in the franchise itself. They were hinted in the first season too. Ultraz are just for the anime only, but no way did it feel natural for them to be added.
Story, it's your usual slice of life. I really wished they kept on going with the Yashamaru story, but they just ignored it completely and only gave him 1 second of screen time. Totally just ignoring the whole conflict in season 2. This whole season would not have been that much different if Ultraz was never there. I just don't understand having two yourtubers in an idol anime. They just felt so forced to be there and interact with the boys we know. Also, Moons just didn't feel like they existed they had such little screen time.
Other issues I saw, they certainly blew the budget on that 3d animation. I noticed Moons ep looking so off and seeing that final ep, it made sense what they did. I also find it funny they gave everyone 3d, but Ultraz. The 3d performance just was lacking so much. 3d was smooth, and models were fine, but the overall execution was just not there. Reuse of animation and the same 10 still images.
Overall, this season just doesn't exist to me. If anyone wants to watch it go ahead. I've seen people like Ultraz and that's okay. But, this season should just be ignored and never discussed again. It just felt like the creators just wanted to please the fans and rushed this whole thing. I love idol animes and B-pro's first two seasons were good, but this one just made me feel exhausted having to push through it and not feeling satisfied in the end.I had fun with watching the boys' eps. The anime was fine, but there were so many things that just made it hard to fully enjoy it.

This manga is everything. It was very enjoyable when I read it. The idea of guys wearing female clothing as the norm certainly was interesting. This manga certainly did a good job showing off the boys in a cute way in their outfits rather than making it feel like guys simply cross-dressing or just simply pretending to be girls cause of course this is about a world where guys wear female clothing, act, and think like girls as the norm. From wearing makeup and loving cute things to admiring the way each other dress. Of course irl guys can also do the same, but this
...
manga goes further with the gag of how female characters are portrayed in manga and anime. I loved that there were many tropes that female characters experience that are shown in anime and manga portrayed onto the boys. Some of the tropes that were made in this story I liked when the boys' skirts being blown in the wind and the boys being worried about it, some of the boys being jealous about each other's chest size, or of course the well known tripping onto another person and accidentally touching their chest. There's a couple more, but everyone should certainly read the manga to see what other tropes were shown.
The characters really do make up a big part of the manga. Each one is interesting and well-designed. They are all memorable and enjoyable to read about! I would say my favorites are Kiritani, Mahiro, and Yumekawa.
The story of course is comedy and slice of life. I really liked it and enjoyed the many jokes made in this. Of course this kind of story may not be for everyone as it may be too weird or silly for some people. I would say that if you didn't like Binan Koukou Chikyuu Bouei-bu Love, Fairy Ranmaru, or shows/works that are similar then Hanamaru isn't for you. I know for sure many people who don't understand the purpose of those shows/works look at these types of stories as bad or terrible even though the purpose of it is to have fun and make jokes off these ideas and concepts. From magical boys to over sexualized male fairies to boys wearing and acting like girls it is enjoyable and all in good fun!
