The storyline was really good but the anime execution was not what it could have been. It felt very (for lack of a better word) choppy. Kind of like cut here and paste there. It was a pleasant to watch though

Blood + is one of the few action animes that grabbed my attention from start to finish. It was did not drag and I love how human they were about the characters and their feelings. I wish they had given the main protagonist mad fighting skills but it is, nevertheless, one of the best action animes I have watched

I would not recommend anyone who has not read the manga to watch the anime. It skipped a lot from the manga and as a reason, it was all over the place. I felt like the anime was moving at a pace I could not follow even though I have read the manga. They tried to give it a Kimi ni Todoke type of feeling where for example, if Kyouta and Tsubaki were smiling, it'd be just paper art rather movement. This I liked. Overall, it was sweet to watch but it could have been much better if they moved at a slower pace.

This being her first relationship (although forced), Tsubaki struggles with her growing feelings as well as the problems that comes with being the girlfriend of a guy who has sex partners rather than girlfriends. Kyouta being the popular bad boy has some mummy issues but works hard to make his relationship with Tsubaki work. To him, she is truly one of a kind.

I feel that the author expressed the feelings of every plain-looking, awkward girl who gets a boyfriend for the first time; the doki-doki moments, the uncertainty, the lack of confidence in her looks and herself. The transformation of Kyouta from bad boy ... to boyfriend was a pleasure to witness because you can tell his feelings are genuine. He makes sincere efforts to make her comfortable about being in a relationship with him. As the manga progresses, we see Tsubaki begin to take initiative towards making their relationship better.

I have read quite a few high-school mangas but not many have made me this excited. The circumstance is pretty typical of a high school shoujo manga but there was an element of truth and risqué that made it more interesting. It wasn’t just innocent kisses; they both found themselves in situations that made them do ‘things’ any normal couple would do in similar situations.

The first few chapters of Midnight Secretary was just average and I did not really like how Kyouhei was drawn (but there were times he looked really delicious). I wish the author had given Kaya a bit more personality rather than simply focusing on her status as the perfect secretary.

For many chapters, it was only Kaya's thoughts that were often expressed but I understand the necessity of this since it was a one-sided love at first. Later, I got to realise Kyouhei's depth which made me like his character more.

The author focused too much on sex, wealth and arrogance which I feel are only part ... of a vampire's signature. She made mention on the fact that they possessed enormous power but did not explore this avenue well. But I loved how sher tweaked up the vampires' characteristics rather than making it too cliche.

What I did enjoy was how Kaya was dedicated to her job despite her relationship with her boss (I haven't found this in many mangas). She was composed and only lost control at certain times. Another unique element was the circumstance surrounding her severe secretary look. I also enjoyed Kyouhei's transition from acting all mighty to taking her feelings into consideration and acting more human.

Overall, this story had great potential but unfortunately, it was not fully explored but it was great to read.

I haven't written a review before so I will ask readers to bear with me. This manga was recommended by someone I consider elite when it come to mangas and animes. I was hooked from the on-set. It is not one of those animes that wastes too much time delving into the main story. Despite the somewhat unrealistic circumstance that surrounds the two main characters, Chiwa and Hokuto, I enjoyed how the author made the development of their relationship very realistic.

For me, both characters strengths lie in the simplicity of their personalities with Chiwa being your average working girl and Hokuto being the serious, ... rich businessman (with various unusual but pleasant behaviours). I particularly enjoyed the maturity of the characters as adults and not as a highschooler and an adult or both highschoolers.

The sexiness in the story also made it a worthwhile read. At the moment, the smut is not too heavy but there are signs that this coulld possibly change in upcoming chapters. This is currently one of my favourite mangas as it is one of my personal fantasies come to life or in this case, manga.
