This anime brings back what was great about old anime while also bringing many new things to the table. Although VERY disturbing, it is beautiful.
Story 9/10: I love how this anime it shows you absurdly disturbing things about demons and how evil they are and then during the second half it shows you the disturbing things about humanity. People look down on this transition saying how quickly it happens is bad pacing. I would argue the opposite. The way it shifts so quickly from the darkness of demons to the darkness of humanity is one of the most horrifying thing you will see in anime.

I loved the first 12 episodes. The art always kept my jaw dropped. The characters do not have a bunch of story behind them is my only slight complaint. But if we are being serious though, the main reason of what makes these episodes good is the music, visuals, and the magical atmosphere of the show. The story is not one solid concrete one and I am sure they will uncover more of the secrets but as of now, the story is like a bunch of mini stories that Chise uncovers and you can't help but feel for even if it is only two episodes

This is for sure one of those anime you will forget about in a month after you finish it, but it is good. There has been a big surge with this whole cute high school girl harem where all of the girls have specific personalities. Of course that genre has been milked drier than the Sahara with only the whole trapped in another world being drier. But this show does it right I think. I like how people write fucking essays to review anime on here. I liked it a metric shit ton and if you think the beginning is boring and not serious enough for your taste then wait till the fourth layer of the abyss. K I have to go finish an actual essay now but ye. Watch this if you want a revolutionary anime that will most likely redefine anime again.
